We saw a taste of it some last year but imo putting Guice in the slot with LF next to Harris in shotgun would be unstoppable. MD n TD outside would cause Opposing Defenses fits. So many options when u motion Guice and run the read option, screens, and Play action to our wr's.. No way they don't get a ton of man to man looks because defenses would have to stack the box. I just don't see how Cameron doesn't show a lot of that this year. Am I wrong to think this ??

6 WR sets
LF7 in the backfield
Harris in the gun with Pocic
Guice and Brosette on the wings
Oregon+GaTech+90s Nebraska Offense

FTW!

He should most def see more touches this year in some capacity. He's too good to not have part of your regular offensive game plan. Not just special plays but integrated into the offense. LSU should have more precise offensive calls directed at a particular weakness in their defense. Something like sending LF or Guice in motion attracting attention to throw behind the play to a vacated spot left due to the attention they bring or go to them if no attention is garnered. Something like this with fakes would be very affective imo. GT

Have an upvote. I don't care how they line it up but they have to get LF and DG on the field at the same time and share the load if they want to stop the "load the box" defensive schemes. I have been saying this to many of my friends since end of last season.

Arkansas used to run McFadden and Jones in the same backfield if I remember correctly and they were intimidating to opposing defenses.

They can line up with either LF or DG in the slot or the pistol position. They just need to get a little more creative in the plays they run from those formations.

Why do the LSU coaches always seem the last to "get it"?

Anyone who watched his high school All-American game knows that he can be an absolute monster from the slot.

Whatever gets the best 11 on the field. If that means Fournette takes some wildcat snaps with Guice in the slot, so be it.

He was awesome in the Army All American game playing slot. Won MVP in fact. Had never played the position in his life too. I think he'd do damage.

Lmao. I was thinking about that same thing. I remember Arkansas' Jones and McFadden. Jones had so many long runs on the end around. It opened up the middle of the field for McFadden to have his long runs. LSU's defense never could figure out how to stop that play. I hope we do that. And not just one time for a TD. Dural ran that play 2 or 3 times for huge gains. Why not run it every game, multiple times a game.

I think Guice and Fournette alongside Harris in the shotgun would be unstoppable.

Hell, Fournette in the wildcat with Guice alongside running the read option would be mind blowing!

There was an article in the newspaper about this or online I read either today or yesterday. So yes, it would be a change and get both backs in at once. Could also put them in a straight Wing-T.

Think of Dupre in the slot
Guice starts at split back with Fournette then motions to the slot Speed demons Dural and Chark on the outside.

You can create a lot of motion before the snap and just execute a simple run play, and be very effective. You can also build on it with jet sweeps, quick passes to the flat on a read option fake, and deep passes to the burners on the outside.

This.

As fans that seems like an obvious conclusion when forming a gameplan but coaches, not just Les but many coaches, seem to have an aversion to making that happen.

It makes to much sense so I wouldn't count on us doing it.

Dream on. Remember you are talking about Miles and Cameron. They live in the 60's. Toss dive and power run is the way to go. Forget about misdirection plays, read options, screens, passes, halfback passing, etc. And when something works well you will never see it again during the season!
