I'm assuming Lange will start Saturday, but will Poche be ready for a Sunday game? If not, then who do we pitch and do we play it like we did in our Friday game with us hoping to get 2-3 good inning our of each pitcher?

My guess:
Saturday - Lange
Sunday - Bain/Cartwright
Monday (if necessary) - Poche

I think Poche would be fine for game 2 with 6 days rest.

I'm hoping that is how we pitch, but will Poche be ready for Sunday?

Poche has started on less rest at least twice this season already. In a word, yes.

He threw his last pitch at about 3:00 pm on Monday. First pitch for Game 2 is Sunday at 5. That's 6 days.

Edit: Forgot Baseball counts these days differently than everyone else. Still think he will be ready.

I don't want Bain starting a winner take all game.

It isn't Johnny Wholestaff on Monday unless necessary. The term has a specific meaning that doesn't apply to a winner-take-all game 3 in a super regional. Johnny Wholestaff means that the strategy will be that many guys will pitch one or a couple of innings until completion. That isn't what LSU will plan to do in an elimination game in a super.

If Bain (or Reynolds) can go 7, you give him the ball for 7. In an elimination game, however, you could bring back someone on short rest if necessary, like Lange gets knocked out early, he might come in on Monday to slam the door a la Louis Coleman in Omaha. That's why it is a kitchen sink game, but not Johnny Wholestaff.
