Add back in the O line transfers since O became interim/coach and we would be fine.

There is a group of about 5-7 of you in every thread, with over the top coaching and personal insults of O. It should not be tolerated as it only adds a negative to the program. Most aren't happy with the play last week, or with O last week, myself included. But there is constructive criticism compared to the shite. Bashing y'all do. My goal from here on out is to either eliminate it or eliminate you.

I'll repeat something posted in an earlier thread:

"You know you've hired the wrong coach when posting facts about his record is considered bashing him."

So you can go on your commie rant about what people shouldn't be allowed to say, but it only reflects poorly on you. Are you Ponamsky?

Herr Ponamsky has the propaganda train rolling way quicker than I bet he thought he'd have to

You don't think that article has any merit?

Sure there's some merit. We whiffed on a handful of players or have had bad luck with a few. Some transferred when O was named coach. These things happen with every team. I do find it funny that these horrid depth issues are only really coming to light to a lot of people after State shoved our dicks in the dirt. Also, lack of depth doesn't account for horrid discipline on and off the field.

This is absolute CRAP.

Even when State is "good," they are NEVER "beat us by 30" good.

Travonte Valentine is supposed to be manning the center of LSU’s defense right now, a 350-pound seasoned veteran who can shove back offensive linemen and gobble up running backs.

TRIGGERED

I like to think of Valentine line 1/9/12.

As in I like to pretend they never happened or existed. We never played that game, and were never teased by Valentine.

The OL depth became a worse issue with attrition.

But that didnt have anything to do with MSU game, IMO.

And the DL depth isnt near as bad as some are making out, Lawrence, Alexander, and Herron are all temporary bad break deals. Now, if those three continue to sit, and Key doesnt round into playing shape, oh my goodness it could be a long year.

Again, this isn't some new phenomenon.
If a prospective coach doesn't feel he can succeed with 3yr players, LSU isn't for you.

Because for the first several years miles did a good job. The last several he has gone downhill in trenches and settling on high-risk character guys. It caught up.

They were good in the area we are struggling in with injury, suspension, depth. Made a huge difference in THAT game.

So our telling me that you hold Orgeron for the losses of guys he did not recruit and for players that left the team, that he did not recruit before he was even made interim head coach like Quinn and Johnson?

This is about 90% Miles. He was selling the program as " I can get you to the NFL, fast".

Meanwhile Saban was selling Alabama as < " I can get you to the NFL and I can get you drafted high ifyou stick around here and learn." What made Rueben Foster, Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson stick around for 4 years....especially Foster who was a first rounder after his junior year?

An excellent article and goes to show that Miles left the cupboards a wee bit bare.

It'll take CEO two more recruiting classes to get the program turned around.

Hopefully he can last that long.

All in with O.

-It's Miles' fault
-O has to rebuild
-We're young, wait til next year (sound familiar)
-It takes time to learn a new offense
-It's still Miles' fault
-Miles didn't recruit (Coach O was Recruiting Coordinator)
-All the penalties are the players' fault(discipline?)
-Miles' offense was vanilla and predictable(not much difference)
-O needs 3 years
-O's not responsible for the consistent sloppy play
-It's still Miles' fault

Let me ask you all this-- had you truly known that the next HC was going to have to rebuild as much as O is having to, would you still want him as the HC?

I'd like to think most were ok with him continuing the machine, but not as comfortable with him rebuilding it. I certainly am in that camp.

So, according to him the program is pretty much doomed!

you have absolutely no idea how Saban nor Miles pitched recruits. How do you people type this stuff out?

This is really what it boils down to. I'd like to know what about Orgeron and his past leads people to believe he is the right guy for a true "rebuild", and one we were told wasn't going to be necessary in the reasoning for hiring him.
