Copeland doesn't fumble and it's 14-0 off the bat would that "obvious talent gap" be so obvious?

this is true. LSU came out playing way over their heads for much of the game, but you can only play on emotion and adredaline for so long. We needed to take advantage of it while we had it, but missed

They're now echoing the Charlie Mac / Bryant comparison.

Yes, yes it would. By the way, the reason why we didn't go up 14-0 is also why we have three losses.

We are what we are, a substandard SEC team that wouldn't beat mizzou, can't beat Alabama, Georgia, and of all people Ole Miss. This team will have issues with Arkansas as well.

i wish they would bring up the golden calf that is moffit. our lines are extremely soft and we get worn down every game.

do you see a landry or OBJ on the bench?

we have to play ego/freak 85% of snaps b/c we have nobody behind them, but we're going to have badasses?

we have no impact DEs except maybe hunter, if he develops. where is the mingo/montgomery?

plus, we're losing mett, hill, blue, collins, and hilliard likely. we're going into 2014 with 1 RB and maybe a true frosh LF

As a program, no. LSU will be fine.

The lack of quality in the defensive front 7 however is very worrisome. LSU's best hope for 2013 is that Ego & Freak return, and everybody in the 2-deep improves significantly.

Show how does that chart help when we lose to OLE MISS, Georgia, Florida and Clemson the past two years? Last time I checked Bama only has one loss to our 6!!!!!!!!

Talent down and coaching can't develop what they have. Pretty basic.

Look at the Oline and LBs. Two areas where pure athleticism won't get you by.

Fellas, just wait until Freeze and Malzahn get a few years into their tenure. They will get good recruits, and more importantly, they will DEVELOP those recruits.

Malzahn could do scary things at Auburn. Then again, Freeze landed a Top 5-10 class last year at Ole Miss. What Freeze is doing this year is with a bunch of young pups

I've always thought Miles was a decent coach that landed superior talent. If Miles doesn't get superior talent, he will falter, because he WILL NOT outscheme, outmanage, or outdevelop other teams.

Taboo to talk about. Outside of one year, LSU has had issues at the end of the season almost every year.

Damn. Hannagrif and co. sound downright gloomy. Could this really be the beginning of the end of the Miles era?

The issue for LSU is that Bama won't be slowing down and they are losing a ton.

They lose nearly as much on offense this year as they defense, and possibly will be very young on the defense again with lots of Freshmen having to play.

Our LBer core will have at least 2 new starters.
Our DL could have 1-2 new starters.
Our DBs could have 2 new starters at safety.

On offense, we'll likely need to replace our:
QB
2 best and likely irreplaceable WRs for next year
3 of our 4 RBs, possibly 4 of 5 if Brazil is kicked off
OL will likely lose Collins and be downgraded at the LT position.

Replace our kick/punt returner.

So, I'd like to know how that team is supposed to be moving forward?

With Auburn and Ole Miss clearly improving as young teams, LSU is looking at fighting to stay in the top 3 in the next season or two.

Simply put, LSU is going to be mediocre by recent standards at least 1 more year.

Miles better win out. If they go 7-5 and next year win 8, he is gone. Maybe Alleva too.
