I am leaving Sport early saturday and will be staying at the marriot after the game should i go check in and get a cab to drop me off or try and park? Also, any do's and dont's would be handy. Thanks!

also, when in doubt, don't risk parking somehwere you're not supposed to. you'll get towed.

if you must drive, best option is to pay $20-30 to park in somebody's yard either in one of the Northgate neighborhoods.

Depends on how early you plan to get there. There is free parking by the new baseball stadium but you have to get there early. The game is at 2:30 so, I'd say no later than around 9.

If you have a cab drop you off, how do you plan to get back to the Marriott after the game?

Pay the $30 and park in someone's yard. You won't find a parking place near the stadium on campus.
Option #2 is to rent a big, black suburban and buy a bunch of red and blue emergency strobe lights & siren, and a navy blue windbreaker that has bright yellow "FEDERAL AGENT" on it. Drive like a madman up to one of the gates and yell something like "Homeland Security, Red Alert! Red Alert!" and for the love of God don't slow down.
Sure, it'll cost a lot more than the $30 parking and get you arrested and banned from the LSU campus for life. But I guarantee you'll get 15 seconds of fame on ESPN that night.

I think the Marriot has game day shuttle service. If not, the hilton does.

Not crazy about a cab if you plan on tailgating.

well i def want to tailgate my wife and i are stoked for this trip we have put off going for too long. I will check into the shuttle option and if no good just pay someone and park

What time are you getting out there? If you go early there is plenty of free parking in the levee and hayfield lots. There is also a bathroom behind the football practice facility so your wife doesn't have to use a port-a-potty.
It isn't a far walk to the stadium from there.

There's free parking on River Road. I always park there, never had any problems.

Question 1. Are you from Louisiana?
Question 2. How old are you?
Question 3. What day do you plan to drive to B.R.?
Question 4. Do you drink? If not you might want to start today to get your immune system up to the challenge.
Question 5. Is your wife hott?
Tip #1. Don't wear a Wal Mart jersey.
Tip #2. Bring a plastic flask.
Tip #3. Don't worry about rain gear, because it never rains in Tiger Stadium.
Tip #4. Be ready to walk, a lot.
Tip #5. Be sure and go to the North end of the stadium an hour and a half before kickoff to watch the band.
That is all

Go to the Hilton downtown, park in the lot north of it, walk two blocks, catch the gameday shuttle buses, $1.75, get dropped off west of the stadium, 15 minutes, after the game, plenty of buses back, 20 minutes. Absolutely the best way to get to the game.

No offense, but you have NEVER been to a game in Tiger stadium?
