Explain. Surely you're not referring to dropped passes and overthrown ball on our last drive as being our coaches' fault.

Surely I'm talking about running the ball with the second best running game in the nation. 2nd and two and 3rd and two. And they weren't dropped passed. One Mett over throws and the other gets batted down.

Olemiss. 2013. Could have called a time out 30 seconds before to give ZM time to throw a couple down field to maybe get into field goal range.

So what I'm saying is, with 2 minutes in the game, 2nd and 2 and 3rd and two you don't run?! Time management. Make Clemson burn those time outs. Even if you don't get the first.

And if Mett makes a couple decent throws, we win. They were good play calls and the receivers were open.

So ridiculous that people get so wound up over this. The very definition of arm-chair second-guessing. This is so far from being a critical blunder (or even a blunder at all).

2009 Ole Miss was absolutely atrocious, I was there. It took a long time for me for Les to get out of my doghouse after that one. But, now EVERY minor second-guessing situation since then is now magnified tenfold into some colossal frick-up because of it, and it's absurd. I really wish people could look at situations rationally.

Doesn't discount the fact that we were totally unprepared for that game....played like shite on both sides of the ball...had some sideline issues...and the outcome ultimately steered the course of the season in a different direction.

A buddy of mine recently told me "yea but we still only lost by 3!" FK that shite. I'm not into moral victories. And before you say it....I've moved past it despite my rant.

But there's no denying that single game changed the course of the season. We win that mother...who knows how we play against Bama with at least a shot at the Naty still hanging in the balance.

Single most frustrating regular season loss since Arky 07 (at least for me).

Yep. I thought we had a good offensive gameplan, though. If Mett doesn't throw 3 critical interceptions (2 in the end zone) in the first half, things are a tad bit different.

Such as...

If this is the case, you can't use Arkansas as a moral loss, as many, many people have.

We will lose 2 games at least again. Let's hope les gets better as a coach. His recruiting is a grade A+

In what specific ways does he need to improve as a coach?

Without totally agreeing with Dasher, more prudent use of timeouts perhaps. Going to the well too often with the long ball early. I know ZM threw those passes...and they were def flying turds....but CC needed to pump the brakes on those calls after the first INT...or at the very least CLM overrides the call....or someone slaps the schit out of ZM and tells him to actually LOOK for the safety over the top. Hell I don't know. It was such a colossal cluster fk its hard to sort out all the blame.
I just know we weren't out of the picture after the UGA game but certainly sealed our fate in Oxford.

Why would you ask this question when you know what kind of answers you're going to get?

Maybe one day someone will have something rational and concrete on ways he needs to improve besides "durrr he needs a time clock coach durrr". Still waiting...

I'm not saying CLM is a bad coach. I love him. He brought this program to national relevance winning a NC and having countless 10 win seasons. Time management is his biggest flaw. He hasn't has a CF like the days of ol'. BUT Clemson brought back memories. That's rough. Again second best running attack and you throw on 2nd and 2 and 3rd and 2.

I am simply saying that time management could be an issue this year with a very conservative gameplan.

Unrealistic championship or bust

Plus the timeout before the first play of the game for not getting the play from the sidelines in time.

1) Shite home schedule
2) Les will find a way to lose to a team he wasn't supposed to
3) Another mediocre bowl game
4) The possibility of losing to Bama.......again
5) ? at QB (i.e. can Jennings do enough to keep defenses from stacking the box)

That being said, I feel 2015 will be the year for excitement, but you never know, nobody saw 2011 coming (minus the finale).

Aren't you just a bundle of happiness. I'd hate to be your dog.

The season won't be fun because of a chance we could lose to Bama . Can't make that shite up.

I think this football season is gonna be a great one. I agree that the "championship or bust" attitude is a plague on LSU's fan base as well as several other cfb fan bases, but the SEC is going to be a toss up this year. Win or lose, it's going to be fun to watch.
