Agree here. Create this situation for LF, and we'll start to see what we expected to see.

He'll do damage at the second level.

Guy gets like 8-10 carries a game until last week and is expected to put up unreal numbers with those carries. You give him 20 carries a game with some blocking, and he will give you over 100 each time.

With Fournette's penchant for the big play (4th in the SEC in rushes longer than 20 yards), with 20 carries, I could easily see him at 120+ a game. He'll finish the season over 6 yards per carry, which is better than Hill did in 2012.

You sure do post a lot of negative things about LSU. How did you come up with your screen name, RTR? You look suspect.
I don't think you could pay him enough to any positive thing about LSU...

What we want to see from LF is something "special" like all the LF pumpers were promising. A couple times per game, turn a 5 yard run into 15. Turn 15 into 30. Juke a guy out of his socks or run a guy over and take a long one to the house.

I am so tired of your bullahit. He has done all of that several times. Hell on the 40 yard run against SHSU, he found the cut back lane with open space, ran through a guy, and carried another guy 6-8 more yards. First game against Wisconsin, he was breaking 3 tackles every kick off. Same SHSU game, he juke a guy out his shoes, then ran way passed him on a 27 yard gallop.

You just see what you want to see. I don't know what this dude did to you, but get over it.

Come on, man. At this point, LF, Hilliard, and Williams are all interchangeable.

Don't get me wrong, they're all good, but nothing more than that up til now.

Stop reading GG. All he does is bash LSU to gain readers.

Anything this moron says really shouldn't shock anyone anymore.

Nope you're ridiculously wrong.
So we are playing SHSU and NMSU again? Or are you saying that going into three of the toughest defenses in the country with Harris will be easier than running it against the Bearcats.

This is why fan expectations are unrealistic.

LF is a true freshman with 5 games under his belt.

5.8 ypc
14.95 yds per touch if you include his receptions
21.7 yds per return

127 all-purpose yds per game.

That's pretty good for a true freshman

that's really good

Personally, I think the kid has done a good job. No way he lives up to the hype that was being spewed before the season.
He said himself, he's getting comfortable and learning each game. The results are starting to show for themselves.

You can make the argument about carries and offensive line but scheme doesn't carry much weight. Hard to make that claim when the offensive coordinator had LaDainian Tomlinson and Ray Rice in his offenses, as well as Jeremy Hill last year.

I think he's going to be a very good back but let's stop making excuses.

Yes, but there is total yards from scrimmage and all-purpose yards. They are different.

What?

He also had Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers, Joe Flacco and Zach Mettenberger at QB as opposed to a hyper-inexperienced Soph. or Fresh. at QB. Big difference in schemes.

Do they still have that 33yd toss run down as a pass. He should have had 155yds rushing last game.

His numbers are very good. Expecially for a freshman. He would be meeting most peoples expectations if he would be getting 20+ carries from game 1. With the other backs it will be hard to get that every week. I do believe he will continue to get 15+ for the remainder of the season and if he does he will meet peoples expectations. We need to continue running with 3 wide and not i formation. That is where we run the best

He's at 5.8 ypc right now. He is a home run player. All it takes is two or three big gains to get his ypc up. Like I said, with Harris at the helm, it will allow for bigger holes and more space for RBs to maneuver

LOL. I don't even know what you are comparing anymore. Jeremy Hill averaged 5.3 ypc in 2012 with an inconsistent pass game. Fournette is averaging way more than any of our other backs behind a bunch formation with zero pass game. Now that we can pass and spread the defense out, he will average more.
