Who says the team doesn't know who the starter is? Who says one guys isn't taking all of the #1 reps?

For you Les Miles enthusiasts (I like him but I block out all pre-season statements after the season), when was the last season he didnt say "night and day improvement?" I feel like I read this every year, but I am not sure. Mainly during the JJ/JL debacles.
