monetizing everything, which requires sorting binning and restricting. . . and billing. Spontaneity and fun have no place in such a world, unless it can generate a $charge$.

Coming soon: 30$ campus-entry fee per person, "oxygen usage"

I definitely feel like the "gameday" atmosphere isn't what it used to be...so why do people still go...so they can leave early?

And once again why would the students go at all? They can't wait to bolt half way thru the 2nd quarter?

I was pretty surprised Saturday. The campus had a big game vipe during the day but the stadium atmosphere was pretty laid back. Then again, when the game got interesting in the fourth quarter there were only 30K-40K of us still there, including all of the Tech section.

Where are the students going anyway? Why do all of the great parties start at 7:30?

I talked to some students this weekend and they said “we were tired after partying all day before the game and wanted to go home and sleep”

I didn't start this post to get upvotes.

I feel like most people on this message board care a great deal about LSU. Some of us have very different approaches and opinions, but you wouldn't spend this much time on an LSU message board if you didn't care.

I was just looking for some fresh insight as to why LSU fans aren't concerned about watching their team play for 4 quarters...and why the students are so ready to get out of that stadium.

Last Saturday, as I was sitting in traffic after half the crowd had already left I wondered why you can get away from A T & T Stadium at basically a normal speed but it takes ten times as long to get away from TS. What do they do that we don’t do?

I say let people bring in an ice chest full of beer and leave them alone. If they get drunk and rowdy then throw them out.

He doesn't want to hear the truth... anyone that claims to not understand why the students leave early is way out of touch with the level that most students tailgate. There are way more drunkards stumbling into the student section than members of the quidditch team. If you don't understand that these kids have been drinking since 8 in the morning, then I don't know what to tell you.

Students do not get in sports like they use to in past years. They rather check updates on social media about the game vs going to the actual game. Easier to watch games at home or online. Parking and traffic is a big issue. Tickets are not cheap and became too corporate. Priced the normal fan out. Even the small student section at basketball games was disappointing.

You have to go back a heck of a lot further than this recent era.

LSU fans of the 50's, 60's, and 70's were second to none. The LSU and Death Valley reputation for intimidation was established by these fans.

Today's fans and I am one, are a pale comparison to those who came before us.

The eighties were VERY MUCH LILE THE 60’s and ‘70’s. Take it from an old dude that has tickets since the 70’s. This really started with the traffic issues. If there was a offsite busing system in place and parking was restricted even further, you would not have this issue.

Don't drink yourself into a stupor then bitch about stadium not selling alcohol when you know the policy.
You're not a victim of stadium policy.
