Gottfried and Franklin were great back in the day but you are right Nessler and Blacklege are the best in CFB. I personally think Brando would be better in the booth than at the desk in New york.

Jim Henderson and Eli Gold I think his name is would be a great team for the national championship game. A fight might happen but it would be an interesting combination of commentators.

Blackledge wipes the floor with all of their faces when it comes to play by play. Nessler has a timeless voice and calls things pretty evenly as well.
But if I had to pick between CBS's crappy duo, or EPSN's crappy duo, I'd go with Herbie and Brent. At least they get the names of the players right and ESPN doesn't take 10 minute commercial breaks for a 30 second time out EVERY chance that they get like CBS does.

If i had to pick between the two, it'd be Herbie and Musberger, but I don't really want either of them.

I don't mind Herbstreit but Musberger irritates me greatly. Gary and Verne appear incompetent at times, but are actually pretty innocuous.
