You guys have no sense of history.

It happened to one of the most famous names in Tiger football history--Y.A. Tittle, in 1947, vs. Ole Miss. Y.A. had just intercepted a Charley Connerly pass and was headed for the end zone when it happened, as Tittle told Peter Finney, who quoted him in the New Orleans Times Picayune, on 11/18/2009:

"An Ole Miss player grabbed me by the belt," Tittle said. "When I tried to pull away, the belt broke. My pants began to fall, little by little. I'm trying to pull 'em back up, and I get tackled around the 20."

DiNardo instead of kicking the field goal(inside the 5) to win the game, calls a running play. The RB fumbles & a LSU defender catches the ball in mid-air to win the game.

Wasn't it Lafell that was open by about 20 yards in every direction for a deep ball and he stopped turned around the ball hit him square in the chest and somehow he threw it over his head when he was trying to catch it.

I think he was a freshman. it happened in Tiger Stadium

rjoker beat me to it but here is the link on Y A Tittle complete with how LSU stole him from Texas. Also look for the tip on gripping a ball with tacks.

The ref tackle?

AWESOME

Ref tackling Garcia is what I was going to post. The Bama Jumbotron play is a good one too. Sadly, Xavier Carter's kneel at the 1 was hilarious.

Mett's bootleg against the most inept team ever assembled in the SEC was pretty good too.

LSU had a one or two point lead, Vandy had the ball 1st down inside our 3 yard line, under a minute. Instead of taking a knee & setting up the field goal(XP) he ran the ball up the middle. When the RB was hit the ball got knocked loose and a LSU defender caught it in mid air. He tried to run it back, but was tackled from behind by the kicker. LSU took a knee and won the game. It was the game I went to with my now wife.

In 1982, we were one the South End zone and started the chant "Gold post." Saw it done earlier in the day at another game and that combined with oranges and alcohol made for a sight I will never forget. The EBR Sheriffs were not as happy to see us rush the field and as I lay down on the field prone I starred up into the dark TS sky and saw a hail of oranges flying to the field from the upper decks and seemingly from everywhere. Literally thousands of Oranges pelted the field and other fans and it stung coming from 100 feet up I can assure you of that. Will never forget it and that was the wierdest thing to this day I had ever seen.

Maybe not the funniest but it is funny as hell watching Ga players trying to catch TM7 on those row returns in the SEC Championship. Next time you see the clip watch the Ga guys and you'll laugh!

"Jefferson's jump play "Tebow" pass against Florida last year"

Yeah that was definitely funny, seeing Jefferson throw a TD pass. He went downhill from there, all the way downhill to the point where he threw shovel passes to Alabama defenders. The NFL scouts saw that and invited him to the combine.

"Play at Vandy in 2010 when JJ broke out of the pocket and had to throw the ball out of bounds.

Hit the play clock on Vandy's sideline and knocked a few lights out of it."

You sure that wasn't one of his patented options to the running back out of bounds or the chain man?

I gotcha now. I was there also. I was confused because I thought it was referencing a play when Dinardo was here.

That was a miracle win.
