Front Side of Tiger Stadium Makeover

I love Tiger Stadium! However, think the front side of our stadium could look a lot better. Does anyone know if there are plans to rebuild the side to resemble the classic outside stadium look of our two end zones?

I think we should focus on rebuilding the team first

Can we finish bowling it in first please?

I thought bowling it in is not possible.

There is apparently a plan in place to re-name Tiger Stadium, to Les Miles Stadium. The field will be called Tiger Field at Les Miles Stadium. Les is, after all, bigger than the program.

Enclose the stadium with the "White Hat" on top.

West side looks like shite and the East side, though somewhat hidden by the hill, needs a makeover the worst.

I would think TAF and the university have more pressing concerns than a facade, especially when the one there is less than ten years old.

state can't jeopardize the risk of appearing like we're renovating a perfectly good stadium during these tough state economic times.

I doubt it, but I wish they would do it. Tiger Stadium's exterior is the ugliest I've ever seen. It looks like it was designed by Picasso...but like a no-talent Picasso.

I don't love it but it doesn't really bother me that much. The Tiger Stadium lights make it look a little better.
At least its better than this

The South End Zone expansion turned out well. Only issue is the FEMA trailers on the roof. If they at least somewhat matched the facade to the new South end zone it would improve drastically.
The North End Zone probably won't be extended. Supposedly all of the utilities are buried there; also boilers, furnaces, HVAC etc (that's where you see the metal grating on the sidewalk on the north side). The act of moving everything buried there will be a significant portion of the project if they do decide to do it.

I thought I read that there is really no way to expand the North end zone without completely tearing down the hill, North stadium drive, and the PMAC, which is not an option.
eta: North* stadium drive

Outside is fine for now. Need to redo the inside before anything else. It's embarassing

It could be done, but your have issues with the current habitat and the rampa up to the PMAC. They'd have to build a joint ramp for the two and of course their would be a traffic and additional parking concern. There also are some building code issues with the distance between the two structures. I will admit though that building codes are not my area of expertise.

It's a football stadium used 8 times per year. All that matters is its economic value to LSU. Who cares what it looks like from the outside? Does the exterior appearance improve the economic value of the stadium? Any future improvements should be focused on economics, not aesthetics.

If I had a magic wand I'd make the whole building look more like it's original design, which is a play off the Roman Coliseum. That design is increasingly lost and it will be more lost if we finish bowling in the stadium.
That said, I concur with The Ostrich.

I haven't really paid it much attention recently, but is THE WHITE PIPE still there?
Also, let us not talk about bowling in the upper level. While they can sell the tickets they can't fill the stadium, as it is. Traffic only gets worse and adding more seats, on the rare occasion that they would all be filled, would be an even bigger nightmare.
