Still some tickets available for Travis Matte and Horace Trahan at the Showbox Sodo one block from Safeco on Friday night (Sept. 4th).
There has been a huge number of tickets sold. If you are looking for the big LSU party and pep rally, that will be the place to be.
Here is website for info and to purchase tickets.

Exactly... Why go to a new place and do something you can do at home every night back home? If you want to listen to a band go find a local band. This is the home of grunge music(Nirvana, Pearl Jam). Why the hell would you want to go listen to cajun music. I just don't get it.
ETA: And to top all off you have to PAY to go listen to a local musician.

I'm not going, although it sounds fun. Just not willing to drop $30 to feel like I'm back in LA. To each his own.
Thinking about starting the night off elsewhere and then maybe swinging by after midnight if it thins out and they let people in at a discounted price. Not likely to happen, but oh well. Would love to find some authentic local rock bar downtown.

Well, that's because I'll be going out and doing as the locals do all Thursday, Friday til evening, and Sunday. Friday night and Saturday are all about LSU football. So yea, I'm gonna party with LSU fans and enjoy some Louisiana music. Yea, so I'm paying for some local music, but from what I've seen the venue is damn cool too.
Why wouldn't you want to go to a party in Seattle dedicated to LSU fans? "I just don't get it".

We're in for sure. I understand the whole bringing up the cajun music to Seattle but I'm 20 minutes from where Matte plays at all the time, not exciting for me. I would rather meet some new people, hang out with the locals, talk some shite and have a good time. There is a season full of cajun music and fellowship back home when we have home games. Venture out into Seattle and have a good time. I wanna do some bar hopping and drink some local beer. For all that are going to the show, I am not bashing you all for going I just think that if you can do it back home then you shouldn't be doing it in Seattle. But all in all, everybody have a safe time and have a lot of fun! My 2 cents FWIW

I don't agree with this, but there are going to be a ton of LSU fans all over the city, you can probably pop in any bar and party with LSU fans.. You don't have to be confined to one place, especially for 30 bucks or how much ever the tickets cost.

i want to take over some bar!! I'm not interested in the concert. Any ideas?

I do! I just want to do it with LOCAL music, LOCAL food, and LOCAL beer. That's the joy of going to a new place. When I visit Chicago I don't go to a cajun food joint and eat gumbo and jambalaya, I go and find authentic Chicago style pizza.
