Just came on Masconas show and said he's going pro to take care of his daughter who's currently living in the projects. Wants to take care of his momma.

Could he have come back and played better? Yeah. But how are you gonna blame the kid? Cut the lame bashing shite out and support the guy.

Good luck in the pros Freak, I know I'll be pulling for ya

I don't understand why people like to bash people like that. Freak played a big role in recruiting Players to LSU. He will be a part of the DLU legacy of LSU.

I don't remember seeing him getting bashed for leaving early. Pretty sure we expected him to go.

Exactly. Wondering if it's the best move for him professionally =/= bashing. I'd do the same damn thing if I was him FWIW

I hope and wish the best for Johnson he is and always will be a Tiger.

That being said just another LSU player not seeing the big picture. Johnson more than the rest if he came back and had the break out year that everyone has always said he could and should, definitely could have improved his draft status because it only takes one year's worth of performance to do that on the DL. Just ask our recent DL-men.

If he is picked 3rd round or below the odds say he will not be in the NFL for his 2nd contract. But it improves over 50% if he is in the 2nd round. I wish I had a link to the article I just read but it gave all the numbers on what happens depending on where you are picked "what round" in the NFL and the odds as to how long you will actually be in the league. And 3rd round or below the percentages of you making it to your second contract are very slim.

Of all the early entrants "Turner & Freak" have the best possibility of moving up dramatically in the draft next year if they were to have good years in college next year. I hate to see these players that really, really have a great chance to be successful in the NFL cut there college career's short because they see money that really isn't there in the long run.

Not sure how this is considered trolling...I've seen plenty of it on here.

In this light, my mind will never produce another negative thought about Freak's decision to leave early. Best of luck, Freak!

Honestly haven't seen anyone bashing. I've seen people say they thought he needed another year in school. That doesn't equal bashing.

FWIW, I'd never blame a guy for doing what he has to do. Family or not. It's not right to expect a guy to turn down an NFL paycheck so he can come back and amuse us.

Pretty sure people have been bashing him. Not sure if they're trolls of other teams or not but, yea.

Most all players that leave early & recruits that don't choose LSU get bashed. Again, may not actually be LSU fans but it happens quite often.

NFL scouts already take that into account when projecting these guys in the draft so any bump, if at all, would have been negligible. Actually could have come back and hurt his drafts status as likely as helping it.

Freak seems like a genuinely good guy and a good Tiger. As a player, he seems to either think a lot or maybe, since he has been so big for so long, hesitates to use all his strength / speed to over power his opponents. it is almost like he has a tape playing in his head from when he was told early on, "you are big....be careful not to hurt someone."

I mean, you would see flashes of what he could do. Sometimes it was like Oh my gosh that was awesome. Any he got doubled a lot. Either way, I wish him the best and hope he gets enough $$ to get his daughter/family into better living conditions. Good luck AJ !!!
