Frank's a damn good recruiter/bag man

That doesn't translate to head coach.

id love to see O replace Haley. Im tired of our dline under achieving while here. I also like O on the recruiting trail.

id be ok with wilson and haley leaving if Juluke and O come in. I don't see them coming though, Juluke has been a name that has floated around for a while and never landed here.

I know coaching is a business, but I'm sure Fournette and a few others would be sad if Frank left. For many, Frank is the reason they chose LSU.

O is a loose cannon, a moron, and an NCAA investigation waiting to happen.

I was at Ole Miss when he coached there and I'm good friends with a couple ex-players during that tenure. The shite they say about that dude is absurd and scary.

Frank Wilson is a much bigger factor in the recruiting side than CLM

He was the HC then, and probably got away with more than he would as an assistant for Les.

True, but a guy that's been to rehab a few times, has restraining orders against him from his wife, and handed cash out to players like an ATM while a head coach probably isn't someone anyone should want at LSU teaching our young men.

But hey, he sure can recruit!

We recruited at an elite level before Frank Wilson FYI.

I can't think of a successful coach that went form position Coach to HC.

Come one. THere are plenty.

Dabo Swinney and Urban Meyer off the top of my head.

Word is that O is a great position coach too. Anyone know why he left LSU during his playing days?

Yeah he is a good DL coach and good/dirty recruiter, but I just don't feel like that outweighs the cons.

But thats just me. If Saban can reign in Kiffin, maybe Les, Chief, and Cam can do the same with Coach O.

FWIW, one thing I like about the guy is that he dips coffee grinds. That's a hardass motherfricking thing to do

ETA:

I think this is moot. He reportedly hates LSU and I doubt he'd take a job as a position coach. He probably has DC/associate head coach jobs on his radar at a mid-major so he can use it to propel him to a bigger gig.

Im well aware of the stories about O but I'm willing to gamble. The man can coach up a position and recruit. We have to do something to keep our border fence up. We really need someone on staff to shut down the traitors up in monroe.

Should read the rest of the thread. He's a moron, crazy, and has loose morals.

But, he can recruit and coach the DL so if Miles can keep him contained, I might be willing to open my mind to the idea. At this point though I'm not convinced he is someone we want near our team.

IMO we need a shake up in the relaxed country club attitude of our staff. LSU is missing some fire from the coaches and O brings that. Im ok with his off the field actions if they lead to production and wins.

regardless of what happens with bebe we have to find someone that can bring north LA back under our control. The loss of north LA to Saban is a really big problem.
