I spoke about 40 different LSU fans about it.

quote:

work with fans from about 7 different fanbases....they all thought we were idiots that this was even happening. Add that to about 99% of the media, coaches, and other fans and i'd definitely say its a vocal minority

Has nothing to do with it, every fan of a different team I spoke to thought we were crazy as well. I don't care about their opinion it wasn't their problem.

well technically its wasn't my problem either. no matter the outcome...it wouldn't have affected my life.

Yeah because the student section, which is the most fanatic sect of the fanbase, didn't chant "We Want Les" throughout the game. You are totally right.

This is often true.

Fwiw. I defended Miles for his first 9.5 years, I changed my views after the 14 Arkansas game.

The decision was made because Jimbo was not coming to LSU. Be it because Alexander got involved and nixed the deal because of politics or because Jimbo just flat out declined the offer, it doesn't matter and we will never know the whole story. I can promise you one thing, Alleva and the boosters knew well before the game Saturday that Miles was going to be retained.

The truth is in there.

no...i said if we did move on i would be ok with it. I didn't think he should be fired but i understood the argument for it.

but i also didn't think Jimbo Fisher was worth 6.5-7 mill/year

Rightfully so, this whole media storm was largely created because of the mismanagement of the situation.

I would have absolutely cheered for Les when he walked out of the tunnel, the man deserved to be applauded for everything he has meant to the university.

And felt like an idiot afterwards.

Misread the love? I don't think the whole stadium chanting "We Want Les" is hard to misunderstand

Oh ok - so you understand, then, what everyone is saying on here that you are now patronizing. Interesting.

no, Miles got his warm send-off last Saturday night. When he leaves for good, there will certainly be another outpouring of emotion, but nothing as strong as last week.

I feel like this would be a great poll question on the Rant, I think the answer lies much more in the middle than you believe.

The love of Miles did not save him. A university president who wanted to appear poor so he could eventually raise your taxes did.

Your are thinking is want is currently wrong with the state of the Louisiana's school systems and health care. Here in a short minute our great state is going to not be able to support itself at the rate it is going.

The University president is in charge of the whole of LSU system which is not just the BR campus it is a huge enterprise and has no control over taxes in the state. You just want to complain and have no clue what you are talking about.

Lol no.

People were ready to move on. The minority was the please don't go. You're a buffoon if you believe otherwise.
