"Coach O is going to make this hard for LSU"

The Tigers power brokers want Tom Herman? They’re going to have to fire Ed Orgeron first, and Coach O is going to make that hard."

"LSU looked like a team reborn Saturday against Mizzou (which boasts a good defense) as the (purple version of) Tigers amassed a team conference record of 634 yards in a 42-7 win."

"The defense flew, the offensive line was dominant against one of the better defensive lines in the nation, and ... was that a passing game? It was!"

I hope he does make it hard. That's a great problem to have.

Agreed. Let's worry about this season first. Still a long ways to go.

Fox Sports articles are trash.

They don't want us to hire any big time head coaches. They've written several articles on why Tome Herman and Jimbo Fisher should say NO to LSU.

if texas loses two or 3 more games then we may as well keep coach O if he goes 6-2. herman will be off the table.

can't think of any other candidates who would be better than bebe if he puts a good run together. 6-2 here plus 6-2 at usc in 2013 makes up for his disaster at ole miss imo.

if O goes 6-2 again like he did with USC its going to be hard. He has the media and old players firmly in his corner. He also proved that he has a legitimate plan in place to make LSU better. He has come across great in interviews. He had a brilliant plan in place.

if O can get us to 6-2 its going to be extremely tough to part ways with him.

I think with what i have seen so far, O has moved himself up to the top of tier 2. it might be better to go with O vs an unproven or one with a glaring weakness.

No way in hell we "fire" coach O. He may leave if we hire someone else but we'll try like hell to keep him.

Really unless he wins out i don't think he prevents you from going for Herman.

I think his clear vision and understanding of how to get the team together is making up for the ole miss disaster that was a while ago.

It is refreshing seeing a clear change and work toward a process vs the secrecy of les miles.

I think winning the SEC west would make it difficult

I don't see the appeal of Texas honestly. Lack of talent and unless they offer him 10 mil a year.

winning the west means O has us on an 8 game win streak. I think that puts him as the future tiger coach. even 7-1 probably locks it up. Then say Herman says no, or goes Texas and the record lowers more.

I just don't see a tier 2 level guy that id prefer over O right now assuming we go 6-2.

We know recruiting wont suffer under him at all. He also is looking like he understands what is to be the head man and let his employees do the work they need.

I would be pretty pissed at a Larry Fedora type hire if it was over O as of now.

LSU will make this hard on themselves, regardless. It's just their way.

you don't see the appeal of texas? its the top job in the country. They will pay what it takes, they have the money to put in any facility that Herman ask for and it will be top notch. The recruiting grounds are insane.

LSU is a great job but being realistic texas is the better job though we have more talent. I don't think they could lure Herman away from us if we were to hire him first and then they fire strong next year.

If he beat Bama in a winning fashion, he's hired. No if ands or buts.
