they were better ranked nationally than the offense..

Why don't you use our sec rankings?
Our offense was 4th in the sec in offensive yards per game.

Our defense was 5th in the sec in opponents yards per game.

Our offense was 3rd in the sec in offensive points per game.

Our defense was 9th in the sec in opponents points per game.

TEXAS A&M WAS RANKED HIGHER THAN LSU IN OPPONENTS POINTS PER GAME.

Let that sink in and think about that the next time you want to say our 2015 defense was the strength of our team.

We gave up 24 points against a walk on from syracuse.
We gave up 22 points to eastern michigan.
We gave up 20 point to western kentucky.

Western Kentucky had 428 yards against.

So was this the DC's fault or Miles' fault? I'm assuming it's Miles' fault, correct since he IS in charge of the entire team?

the defense improved as the season went on

So does bama under saban. Do you want to be Texas a&m? We play in a division with the most defensive talent in cfb.

Alabama has a much more balanced offense than LSU...one that most LSU fans would settle for. I have never wanted to be A&M...I want an offense that is capable of moving the ball when teams are stuffing our rushing attack. To not want this is crazy!!!

Only someone with an agenda would say our defense was the strength in 2015.

You tell me what the national ranks mean for both units then. I always thought the lower the number meant the better the unit.

Is it something negative? If so then yes its on Miles.
You know that. Just like our good qb play in 06,07,09,2011,and 2013 had zero to do with miles. Since 2005 everything positive thats haooend to lsu football has been in spite of that goofball.

I have never heard anyone blame miles when the defense sucks

In fairly positive if I looked deep enough, I can find plenty of blame people have put on him for it.

Just not that vested to do so

Why do you keep saying this Rick?

1/9- 1.4 ypc
2012- 2.8 ypc
2013- 1.4 ypc
2014- 3.3 ypc
2015- 2.1 ypc

That's 2.2 ypc over the last 5 meetings

Those are abysmal numbers

Lsu was 3rd in the sec in offensive points per game.

lsu defense was 9th in the sec in opponents points per game.
Texas a&m was ranked ahead of lsu.

Lsu was 4th in offensive yards per game.
Lsu defense was 5th in opponents yards per game.

For gods sake we gave up 20 points to every mid major opponent we played.
Our defense was 45th(10th in the sec) in opponents passer rating.
But yeah the defense was our strength.

Rick.

Quit running away from the facts. If we can't beat Bama we don't get to the championship.
Do you Understand this? It doesn't matter what we are doing against everyone else.

As stated against Bama.

But hey it show you know you're wrong when you try to take 1 game to prove your point.

Texas a&m was better than lsu in several key defensive rankings. Let that sink in.

My point is historically under CLM our defense is the strength of our team and the offense, even when loaded with nfl caliber talent, is weak...see a ton of games over CLM career to prove my point

Ha ha. You think im running away from facts? Wow.

2012 we had 435 yards of offense against bama.
2012 we out gained bama.

2014 our offense got the lead with 1 minute left.

Please point me to the program that is consistently beating bama.

Dont you have some prediction to be wrong about?
before you dog cuss me, that was a joke.

No your point was that in 2015 pur defense was still the strength amd thats just not true.

If we are talking about Miles' tenure then yes i most certainly agree but you act like thats a bad thing. Most consistent programs are programs with great defenses from year to year. Where are all these high flying offenses' with titles.

We are on the same page with needing balance. Its a must for this upcoming season

We had success running against bama in 2012,2014 and 2011.

Ypc in a game arent always indicative of running success.

183 yards in 2014 sucked right?

This is still cfb where sacks go against a teams ypc numbers.

Have they changed that? I know the nfl is different..

Wut? I know the comp got tougher, but D gave up about a TD more in back half of 2015 than 1st half.
Hell, Malveto D gave up less ppg. Even Tepper had a better year.
