Not really. Try watching the games. Just because the qb over looks his tes, doesn't mean they aren't open down the field.

Threw it a bunch against those teams. The lack of defense and special teams got LSU away from what they do well. Run the ball.

Asking your inaccurate qb to through the ball 50 times is going to end up in a lot of missed opportunities.

I will blame passing game more than defense and ST...look where our defense was ranked compared to our passing offense

Such as? I swear its like some of you actually believe that you know our players strengths and weaknesses better than our staff.you really believe Miles is calling runs plays just for the hell of it or donyou think he see what plays the team executes well in practice?

Wrong. There is a huge portion of the fan base wants to win the SECW and the SEC.

Im not wrong. There is a hige portion of posters on here that gripe about tge way our offense was produced after wins.
We finished 3rd in the sec in offensive points per game and 4th in offensive yards per game and you have lsu fans saying our offense wasnt productive and it sucked in 2015.its like you havent been reading this board.
If you want to piss off lsu fans on here just post the FACT that 2015 lsu offense was more productive on offense than bama, fsu and ohio state.

We can beat most teams with talent and an inept offense...hard to beat Bama with that formula

You watched the bama game and think the coaches put the players in the best position to beat bama?

What? Our pass defense was 80th in opponents pass completions per game and 57t in opponents passing yards per game.
Our defense gave up 20 points to all hut 3 teams and one of those teams scored 19 points.

Our defense was 40th in opponents points per play.
Our offense was 17th in the country in points per play.
Our defense was 69th in opponents yards per point
Our offense 32nd in yards per point.
Our defense was 74th in opponents red zone scoring %
Our offense was 54th in red zone scoring %

Our passing efficiency was definitely an issue but our defense and special teams were bad.
We gave up 22 points to eastern michigan.
We gave up 24 points to a syracuse team that started a 5th string walk on at qb. He was the first qb in syracuse history to throw 3 tds in one half against a top 10 opp.

We have had bama dead to right 2 of the last 5 games. The offense gave the defense a lead with a minute left.
Stop acting like we dont usually have success running against bama.

These vague statements.
We tried throwing the ball. Harris went 6/19.
We tried our strength. Bama's ability to play 2 nts destroyed that plan.
We tried running outside. Bama's ability to take rotate in fresh, smaller and quicker dlinemen destroyed that.
We tried running zone read. Harris got hurt.
Bama's dline was pushing our oline behind the line of scrimmage on every snap. There is no gameplan that is successful when that is happening.

So please enlighten me on what YOU think wouldve put the players in a better position to be successful

You cant tell some of these poster that. I had one poster tell me that having Harris throw deep was the answer. I just laughed and said you have an oline getting destroyed and a gimpy qb and your solution is to run plays that take LONGER to develop?

lets take a look at the main stats...

Offense
Total-58
Passing-108
Rushing-15
Scoring-44

Defense
Total-10
Passing-24
Rushing-15
Scoring-41

The defense was weaker than it has been but STILL the strength of our team. Just imagine how much better their defensive stats would be with a better offense that would keep them off the field.

no it wasnt. We gave up 20 point to everyone. Even shite teams.

We were not 10th in total defense.

Youre a level headed poster and youre gonna sit here and say our defense was the strength of our team and not our running game?

25...my bad. I did say our defense had an off year but it still rings true that as bad as they were (compared to what we are accustomed to) they still were our strongest unit.

Our pass defense was 87th in opponents pass completions per game.
57th in opponents passing yards per game.
The only reason our rush defense had good numbers was because everyone passed on us.
We were 35th in opponents rushing yards per attempt.

90% of all practices should be passing the ball. We already know we can run it. Brandon Harris should be throwing the ball so much on a daily basis that he has to ice his arm like a pitcher.

I have to chime in here. The defense was certainly not the strength of last years team. Take away LF and LSU would have probably been 6-6 at best.

Unit is either offense, defense, or special teams

Defense ranked higher nationally than the offense= better

Well to be fair we would have to know whether we run well because wof our practice of running the ball or just because. I dont think anyone on here knows that. But yeah we should be dling everything possible to get an efficient passing attack. We dont need any gaudy numbers.
If Harris can have a 19tds-6 ints 62% 190 yards /game season then we will win the sec.

they were better ranked nationally than the offense...which is almost always the case since CLM has been here.

So does bama under saban. Do you want to be Texas a&m? We play in a division with the most defensive talent in cfb.
We gave up 24 points against a walk on from syracuse.
We gave up 22 points to eastern michigan.
We gave up 20 point to western kentucky.

Western Kentucky had 428 yards against.

Only someone with an agenda would say our defense was the strength in 2015.
You even said our offense was more of an issue than our special teams
