I don't remember what article it was (probably on Bleacher Report), but I do remember a ranking of SEC running back duos having Tennessee's Hurd and Kamara ranked above LSU's Fournette and Guice. If that statement holds to be true this year, I'd be really scared for LSU's offense based on how the Tennessee guys are playing...

And let's not forget the pundits claiming that Tenn had a more talented roster than LSU.

This is the least tough SEC football team I've seen in a while.

Hurd doesn't have the ability to break away. Fournette had 11 in the box on him all last year and still broke free time after time. Hurd seems to only be able to get 4 or 5 yards max

Not in the same universe... Hurd and Dobbs are vastly overrated...

Kamara to me has always been much better than Hurd. Dont get their obsession with Hurd. He's an average RB.

Hurd is 6'4", 240 lbs and can't break a tackle. No wiggle to his game, either.

Fournette is waaay better, but this is just stupid. When defenses fill all the gaps Fournette fails virtually every time. Luckily, that only happens about every fourth play. Also, Fournette never faced 11 in the box. That's asinine. He didn't face 10 or nine either, unless it was a short yardage situation, or LSU was playing with a single receiver.

Bama consistently plugged all the gaps, and Fournette couldn't reach 40 yards. He's the best, but he's still human.

Back off bro. I was not being literal. Learn to read between the lines, smart boy.

Also, since you are so literal with everything...please stop comparing Fournette's success against Alabama to Hurd's success against App State.

I was not impressed with Hurd at all. appy state stuffed their running game. hobbs was even worse. ut was lucky to win that game; their D started shaky but then shut them out while their O twiddled their thumbs. Ut's offense was worse than LSU's last year by far.

Tennessee's OL was an embarrassment though. Zero pass blocking and the running lanes were shite.

With that said, yes Hurd has zero burst. I've always looked confused when media and scouts touted his 4.4 speed yet we have yet to see it in a game. He's Derrick Henry without the speed, OL, or long runs. In 2 years worth of starts, he has only 5 runs longer than 30 yards, with zero runs of 50 or more. He's a battering ram that can catch.

Again with that said, Tennessee seemed completely off last night. I don't know if it was believing too much into the hype or what, but they played soft.
