If they didn't trust Jefferson to do it, then they should have let Lee take some shots downfield. I mean, it's simple strategy to attack an opponent's weakness

Les never had a great deal of trust for Lee.

I think Les looked at Lee as being soft. Old issues in a new season !

Look I know they literally have no WR's and their OL is banged up, but Gordon is a very very legit RB with a lot of speed. The key will be our D-line getting penetration right off the snap. If we get can get into their backfield early and often, LSU will keep Gordon from going off. You have to stop him before he gets going. If he gets outside, he's gone.

The game is not going to be close. Wisconsin loses a ton in the trenches, and that is where the game matters.

outside - if he trys to go to the sidelines our speed on D will kill him. Big10 slow is not LSU !

Congratulations, you just made a new word.

If we get this one in the bag it sets up for some fun getting the young team ready for Auburn !

The D will break out that 3-2-6 / 3-1-7 package that gives all the spread teams fits.

That wont work against Auburn.

Good lord old man

I'm not saying he's gonna run roughshod on us (I think we stack the box and are too quick for their O-line) but your thinking Gordon isn't fast simply because he's in the Big10 is what's wrong with the Rant. You're that guy: the ignorant homer. Congrats

Yeah, "nice back" doesn't give him due credit.

Gordon is elite.

who said something is wrong with the Rant ?

the big10 is slow - look at record against the speed D's of the SEC. He looks fast until he runs against speed. Slow down with this thought-the old man might have a point

The first step is denial.

What the frick does that have to do with how fast/explosive or not fast/explosive Melvin Gordon is? You realize he was not on that Iowa team we played in the bowl? He wasn't on the Ohio state team in 2007 or Penn state in 2009 either. It might be hard for your dumbass to comprehend, but you can be fast and play in another conference.

No. You don't have a point.

We get to test out our new and improved front seven against a top 10 run game. We also get to test out Fournette even though their front seven will be all new. We'll get to see Harris and Jennings against something other than air or teammates. We'll also get to see how the WRs are shaping up, and how Magee handles being front of the pack. I'd say it's a nice gage to see where we are on our run defense, and offense as a whole.

A nice 41-20 win is what I predict.

Oh and Gordon had 143 yards against South Carolina in the bowl game..... 'But but but he's in the big10. He's slow'....

Dude's elite.

So your all feared up over Melvin - cool

no way he gain 100 yards - in fact I will not give him 75 yards. He has made a living off poor Big10 slow D.

You are not going to listen to me so just stop it and watch the gain.

Melvin with no gain once again.

Big, tough grid it out, experienced team against a young, fast, athletic team.

Already wrong hoss. We are more experienced and have waaaaaay better young talent than Wisky. They lost their top four pass catchers from a weak passing game, neither of their RBs can catch either. They lose their entire front seven meaning that great run defense they had last year is gone. They move one safety to LB, another to backup QB, and another is gone. Their starting QB is coming off shoulder surgery, and the fans don't like his game one bit. Plus they are traveling down to Houston.

I won't say blood bath, but we will beat them by three TDs, maybe that is a bloodbath though lol.
