If his contract still has that "$1 more than the highest paid coach in the SEC" which BTW equals the highest paid in the country since it's the midget in AL, I would think that could be a consideration for the board members to mull over letting Les go before he perhaps wins another NC and them having to fork over another 3 million annually.

Les wants to win more than he loses, to keep getting raises and to keep his job. He thinks that if our QB does not give up the ball and our defense can keep it close, he will win enough in the 4th quarter to keep his job. $4 million plus is the reason for our lack of QB passing.

I've backed off of him being stubborn. As frustrating as last year was, I really think Cam and Les know something about Harris that we don't know. He is still a kid, and putting him out there too early may have not been the best option. idk. If he isn't ready by next year, then idk who or what to blame.

Just because he believes in his own mind it's the right thing, does not mean he is not stubborn

His team's "limitations" are self inflicted. That's the problem.

Miles has in his contract that if he wins the national title he has to become the highest paid coach in college football.

what a joke. Saban currently makes $7.1 million....with 4 national titles to his credit. Achieving half that success shouldn't result in a 65% raise and the distinction of being the nations highest paid coach. Even Urban Meyer, having already won two titles is at 4.5 million.

Yeah that would suck if we won a title and had to payout...

Jesus Christ man.

I hear Brady Hoke wanted to win too, but he's a gone pecan because he did not.

Your WANT for victory does not secure your job, your attainment of said goal does! PERIOD.

If Les Miles takes the talent he has now and has another .500 SEC record he's likely on a hot seat. The price LSU pays for this coaching staff in total does not represent the quality of Victories we're getting in return. The ROI doesn't work if it continues.

This may be his total combined compensation including things like coaching shows endorsements, etc. but his salary from UA is not $7.1 M.

I don't think this.

I just think he is AWFUL at evaluating risk. He appears to be a complete single variable thinker when it comes to offense. He has taken "fewer turnovers = wins" to some sort of absurdity. He seems completely incapable of recognizing that while true up to a point, if you basically try to run risk free offense, it makes scoring(the other important thing in games) awfully goddamned difficult.

Sorry but any coach that leaves JJ in the entire NCG when he cannot move the team past the 50 yard line and has that deer in the headlights look, is just plain STUBBORN!

Disagree. Common rant complaint. Not based in facts.

He ran the ball 61% of the time with Mettenberger, Beckham and Landry at his disposal.

He aint a fan of the forward pass and he REALLY aint a fan of passes that have risk attached to them.
