My hate for UT started in omaha on 09' those people are worse than Florida fans. Extremely cocky, self entitled, and loud (not loud cheering, just loud in general.)

But not as bad as the gumps.

cause LSU fans are nothing but class and are extremely humble

I'm around plenty of Texas fans, they have no where near the sense of entitlement that Bama fans have imo, but again, we hardly ever play UT, who cares?

Although family was LSU fans and parents had season tickets, I was the only one of my family to attend LSU (Nichols and USL). Although there were more students at LSU than my hometown, more people in my freshman biology class than my entire high school, I went to LSU and LOVED it. Got two degrees from LSU.

I grew up in the northeast. I moved to Louisiana in '91 when I was fifteen. The only things I knew about LSU was that the football team sucked, and Shaquille O'Neal went here.

I hated it here for my first year, but finally the area started to grow on me, I ended up really falling in love with the South. I only applied to three colleges...LSU (due to proximity), Bama, and Florida. I knew I was going to Florida, so the other two were just kinda back-ups. I won an academic scholarship from a company that was going to pay for all of LSU or would've left me $24k in the red had I gone to Florida. At the last minute I decided to go to LSU, so I wouldn't have to worry about student loans, and because it was a one hour drive vs. a nine hour drive to Gainesville. I wasn't an LSU fan really, just a sports fan. After being on campus for my first year, I fell in love with all things LSU, and the rest is history.

LSU has a bunch of bandwagon fans

i remember what campus used to look like prior to 2003 at 6:00 am on a saturday morning

Yeah, that must be it. Recent polls have LSU as one of the most popular colleges in America.
We have been in the Top Ten in attendance since records were first kept.
We are in the top ten percent of U.S. universities in number of alumni, and we have 100,000+ on campus every Saturday in the fall, and lead the nation in baseball attendance.

So, yeah - strictly bandwagon...

Grew up in Houston and was a Longhorn. Primarily because of baseball. Moved to the Kentwood area in '89 to start my Jr year in high school.
Didn't make my first LSU fb game until KY game in '93 (or '94). We lost, and many empty seats, but sat in the student section with a group of friends after tailgating all day. I was hooked

Worked at the vet school in '96-'98. Got season tickets in'96 and I've been loving it ever since. For years, I've been going by myself most games. Ppl ask "who u going with?" I say "with over 100,000 fellow Tiger fans."

My dad has been bringing me to LSU games since i was 5. I was brainwashed at an early age and I also thought teams like Auburn just seemed gay. I wanted to go to University of Texas but didn't get in. I figured there is no other college experience in the South that is LSU. Forever LSU

Grew up in Tennessee.....liked the Vols when I was younger, then I stepped foot on that campus and hated it. I went to an LSU game in 2004 and fell in love with the campus and atmosphere (which blew Neyland's out of the water). In terms of college choices, I got it down to LSU, Bama, Auburn and Georgia, but obviously chose LSU.

Grew up outside US. When applying for graduate school, I didnt consider LSU(in fact I had not even heard about the school...LOL). Got offers from Virginia Tech, Ohio State and SUNY Buffalo. Came to Virginia Tech. During the first summer in the US, I attended a lecture from an LSU professor, who offered me a full scholly if I came down to work for him. And thats how I ended up being a Tiger!

I came to LSU with my wife from China in 2009 for my master's degree, and then had become a die-hard LSU football fan since then, so had my wife.

We feel extremely proud and fortunate to be part of the Tiger Nation!

While playing Pop Warner in Miami and New England, I always had the dream of playing for USC. Turned out I was not good enough so I played in N.E... but always followed USC. As I frequented forums more an more, I learned USC's fanbase was not the types of people I associated with. My interest in USC dropped quite a bit other than an occasional glimpse at the boxscores. Eventually moved to Dallas, met my current wife, and we later moved back to her home state of Louisiana.

At that point I could have gone 3 ways... root for my alma mater... ho hum..., root for the school of spoiled cheaters... I have higher self esteem than that..., or root for the school that my wife and dozens of her family members went to.

So here I am. Hello.

Lived in Houston, and wanted to go to a nearby school that had some resemblence of a football team. UT was too liberal and TxTech was too far away, so I was left with A&M and LSU. Loved the first LSU visit and was kinda annoyed by the A&M visit, but I kept them in because everyone else I knew was going there. I got my LSU acceptence letter around October and a scholarship offer in November, so I got to watch a few of football games on TV.

Eventually I started getting calls from A&M about joining the corps, and after about the third or so I cursed them out because they hadn't sent a acceptance letter but still wanted me to make a commitment. They sent a rejection letter literally next day, and that made my decision easy. Haven't regretted it since

I'm originally from New Orleans, but no one in my family went to college. We were good Catholics, though, and liked Notre Dame and even Tulane. We supported LSU, but didn't really love them. I attended LSU and graduated in 1977. I've been a diehard LSU fan ever since. My love for the Tigers grows stronger every year. And I now hate both Notre Dame and Tulane.

there are some things that transend college loyalty. father/son is most definately one of them. my son, whom i poisoned from birth to be LSU and he damn went to college in tennessee. oh well, now that he's an adult, i bust his chops but in the final analysis, i love him and am glad he went to college. he would have been a damn good tiger, tho. oh well.
