How was the atmosphere? How many people made the trip from South Carolina? Were their fans appreciative? How was the fans reaction towards usc players? How was the band's tribute performance?

And how was it without Borne on the PA?

Looked like 100 South Carolina fans or less and was like a spring game. It was loud at times when we needed to be loud. Basically looked like a second half of a blowout game. It was great weather and no traffic.

There was maybe 1500-2000 South Carolina fans there speckled out amongst the crowd but a decent contingent where normal opposition sits.

Atmosphere was alright ... Kind of weird as we all applauded the gamecocks before and after the game f

There was definitely less than a couple hundred South Carolina fans there. But the atmosphere wasn't so bad. It got loud a couple of times and it was definitely enjoyable. Didn't take hours to get out of traffic either.

Wasn't it Bill Franques (sp?) filling in? Whoever it was wasn't that great. Got the player number or name wrong a lot.

Otherwise thought the crowd was energetic. Family enjoyed it.

For only 40K, I thought it was good. Felt like a normal atmosphere, crowd was louder than expected, and everyone stayed until the end.

How many people made the trip from South Carolina?

Not many. Maybe a couple hundred?

Were their fans appreciative?

I didn't interact with any, barely saw them before the game. I will say, a couple of times, when USC scored, they were rowdy and happy, cheering and chanting.

How was the fans reaction towards usc players?

No booing. Basically neutral when they came onto the field.

How was the band's tribute performance?

I only noticed that they played the USC alma mater, and a fight song here and there for them. Didn't notice any tribute. But I didn't watch the entire halftime show.

All in all, it was a very fun time and cool game atmosphere. And it was quiet before tailgating, which was also kinda nice.

Full pregame

This should give you a good idea. From what I saw on TV, the west side had more people than the east and was pretty packed, but you can't see that here.

I enjoyed it, Weather was great, extra space was comfortable. Crowd got loud when it needed too. Many concession stands were closed, but still not much of a line. Traffic and parking were the best part

plenty of space to stretch out and be comfortable. Nice weather. Wasn't nearly as warm as the Auburn game. Nice breeze thoughout the game. I don't pay much attention to the opponents followers so I can't estimate how many there were. A few stopped by our tailgate earlier in the day. Once the game started I didn't pay attention to the crowd in the stadium, it just seemed like a normal game. Traffic was light after. I got home just as fast as if there were no game at all.

Best LSU-SC fan interaction of the day: Two SC guys sit down in their seats, nice looking female LSU fans says "Welcome to Tiger Stadium, we love Cocks here". Fell down laughing at that one!!

Atmosphere was a blast. I was in section 105 and everyone was really into the game. We all stayed until the end.

The band was great and the student section was as well.

Talked to a couple of South Carolina folks. They were really nice and very appreciative.

Crowd may not have been 90+ thousand but we gave it our all.

It was fine considering the circumstances. Shows how cavernous Tiger Stadium.

Was a good touch for the band. LSU fans cheered for USC when they entered and during/after their Alma Mater following the game.

it was hard for me to tell. Other then the little things that Borne does. If I didn't known that Bill was going to be the PA announcer I'd have never known the difference.

I enjoyed it. Weather was fantastic. Traffic was non-existent. Parking was super easy. USC fans I spoke to were very appreciative and went on on about how great all of our fans are. Great time. Money well spent.
