For the football coaches: What specifically is O doing wrong?

So we have a team that seems to have much more talent than the teams that gave us our two losses. Our schemes are being taught, installed, and coached by coordinators that are highly thought of by most of the coaching community. So what specific things could O be doing that is undermining these seeming positives? For the life of me I can't figure it out.

Lack of leadership and control of his players and assistants. He did a 180 from his a-hole tough approach at Ole Miss to more of a top relaxed NFL approach. Needs to be closer to the middle but it's too late for this season now.

Too late . He created a soft football team with the culture he's established.

Cut contact , less pads, more film and "walkthroughs".

No blood
No sweat
No tears

Mentally and physically soft.
But it scored political points with fans because it was not how Miles ran practice.

The conditioning of the linemen is terrible. That is something that should never happen with all the accolades that LSU gets under Tommy. And it starts the previous year or at least in early summer.

You can't be a parent and a friend.

You can't be a coach and a friend. If O wants to be a friend to these players, he is in the wrong business.

So, that's all you got. How is O contributing to our demise? He's not calling plays. He didn't devise the offence. He isn't the defensive coordinator. How come Aranda's defense looks so bad this year compared to last? What did O do to it?

How do you know that's how he ran his practice? Practices were closed to the public...he may have done a 180 and hammered them...

This is by Edward Orgeron's own admission. This was part of his "plan" and he implemented it in the spring and fall.

Edward Orgeron has admitted this and it's not speculation. But not as though it were an admission of a mistake .

No ,no ...that evidence is on the field.

Nimblecat, it does seem that our veteran linemen have taken a step back this year, especially Clapp, but as far as I know, Moffit is still the strength and conditioning coach, as he has been for several years, and by all accounts nothing has changed in the off season program.

Didn't you know? Aranda gets a pass because he has had a good defense before.

The lineman look out of shape? I'm not sure if lacatoure has missed a play on defense in the last two games??

so true and what I've been saying. He needs some energy and passion. We need Lawrence to stay healthy. He's a difference maker on defense.

Booger said the team has gone soft.

This seems to ring true. The line has been pushed around all year.

From my expert opinion, they do in fact look like one team, but it appears there is more than one heartbeat.
