I've lost any anxiety or emotion regarding LSU football. It's a really strange feeling. Don't get me wrong, I will pull for them against Arkansas and I'll watch every play. I hope we win and go to the Peach Bowl and destroy an ACC team. The offseason will be very different if we do.

I've been a die hard LSU fan for all my life and I follow them through good years and bad. My point is just that it feels weird to approach a game with no sense of nervousness or fear of losing.

I can only imagine what the players are feeling. Actually, I would not be surprised if we lost. I hate that feelng.

Just thought I'd vent a little. It's kind of depressing, actually.

I want what you're taking because I'm a nervous wreck during the games.

I know what you mean... total apathy. It's horrible. It feels like somebody you really loved just died...well, maybe that's a little dramatic

We will be a much improved offensive team next year. You can bet on that. Defensively I hope we make a change in coaching so we can play a more aggresive style and put pressure at the corners.

This is exactly the emotions the players are exibiting. I think the Alabama game sucked the life out of a group of players and fans who had become accustomed to playing meaningful games for championships at the end of the season.
The team , and the fanbase , will need to get hungry again , overcome adversity , and play with passion to regain that feeling.

Yeah, the Alabama game did it. I was really excited during the 4th quarter of the Troy game listening on the radio, but I was just numb during the Ole Miss game.

I'm numb now. Ole Miss is not better than us. Neither is Alabama or Georgia. That is what's disgusting about this. Even with all of the problems, this team could be 10-1 right now and trying to beat Arkansas to go to Atlanta. They'd get beat down by Florida, but at least we'd be playing for something.

It didn't have to be this way. That is what is so sad. If Lee had just been decent and the defense had not been SO porous.

The feeling I have now is one I haven't had since November 27, 2002, sitting in the car in the LONG ride home after the Arkansas game.

Of course, the next year we won the NC.

I agree . It has been a classic domino effect. If we don't throw the picks at Georgia maybe we win. If we beat UGA we have more confidence , coaches call a different plan and we beat the Gumps. No way Ole Miss beats us with that level of attitude.
This season just slipped out of our grasp.

I have the same feeling. I was disappointed Saturday but I wasn't shocked we lost. Usually a loss ruins the night and I feel it through the week but I didn't really think about it and now just looking forward to Friday.

I kinda know what you're feeling. For the first time in forever, I'm not sweating the outcome. Well I call bullshite to my own thought. I do care, but am not as frantic as I usually am...

Apathy. That's the word that you're looking for. It is the dreaded word that is worse than painful losses. It is the very sign that significant changes are necessary to bring any emotion and feeling back to the players and fan base.

you'll get hooked again...no one ever loses the anxiety entirely....but my being thrown out of the ole piss game for having a bottle of jack has soured me on the whole experience....the "informant" was a stiff, tweed jacketted a-hole without any emotion or understanding of the experience of tiger football....i'll leave the stadium to those ahs ---and in a couple of years it will be as quiet as an episcopal high school football game

Same here. Not looking forward to bowl game and I remember being so pumped when Saban took us to the Independance.

Kinda like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman - after having the Penthouse and all, hard to go back.

I knew something was wrong when I had no problem watching the evening games following the loss to Ole Miss. Usually I'm so upset that I have to stop watching football for a day or two.

I'm gonna be completely honest here. I haven't felt this way since Dinardo was here. Which, by the way, is why I'm starting to get a little worried about the state of the program.

I think the Les Miles press conference yesterday only compounded the feeling.

It's the same feeling you get when a buddy is screwing up in life and you talk to him, and his answers are so out of whack with reality - all you can do is give a fake smile, blink, and think to yourself, "poor SOB, he doesn't get it and will be in trouble for a looooong time."

The thing that I hate the most about losing, is LOSING when you pay coaches millions of dollars and the game plan doesn't give the team any chance of winning. The second half of the Ole Miss game was at best a plan for a JV football game. LSU fans better get ready the worst has yet to come. Look at last years team that won the NC. 2 loses, with 3 more games we won late. Give me a break, with all that talent. Les is more alright, more miserable weekends.
