When it comes to coaching up talent who is better? Saban or Miles
I assume people stating Miles is winning on talent alone, not well developed coached up players. When you get well coached players that are talented you get years like Alabama has had the past few seasons.
OL and QB play has been on a decline since we had Saban and Fisher.

There is no comparison between Saban and Miles and I wish this thread would die.
One is talked about as the best college coach of all time and the other has his own fanbase ready to run him out of town.

The comparison is that they both have had their success with "talent"
Sorry you don't like facts.

A large amount of LSU fans aren't really football intelligent

I don't believe they were a better team that year necessarily. I'd say they were pretty even.
That's because Miles and his staff did such an amazing job hiding our two below average SEC QBs on the way to a 13-0 SEC Championship with only one game decided by less than 2 TDs against a historically difficult schedule.

Miles was vastly out coached in the rematch though.
As was Saban in The Game of the Century with everything on the line.

The Bama dynasty was a mirage
Well, perhaps mirage is a strong word, as they were the dominant team of the era. But "dynasties" are typically defined by championships, and Alabama has only won 2 SEC titles in Saban's 7 years tenure, only 1 in the past 4 seasons.
That doesn't scream dynasty imo, despite the extra title his team failed to play it's way in to in 2011, especially considering the VAST talent advantage Alabama has over every other team on their schedule.
If Saban was held to the same standards as Miles, he would fail, as his recruiting prowess has made virtually any loss an upset against a less talented team.

So true

Well the recruiting rankings indicate that Saban has a major talent advantage, yet here are the records over the past 4 seasons with a 2-2 split in the regular season:
Saban: 46-7 1 SEC title
Miles: 44-9 1 SEC title
Also, LSU has put out far more NFL draft picks, despite recruiting classes ranked far lower than Saban's.
Is that an indication that Miles is "actually coaching up talent" better?

Of course it does.
But my point is simple: ONE GAME is the difference between the two programs and coaches right now.
That is impossible for most to see unless you take that game out to truly analyze the past four years.
1/9 happened, yes, but 1/9 perfectly demonstrates that it was exactly that, ONE DAY in the past four years.
Seeing as how Alabama may very well have not even been playing on that one day, it's worth taking a look at the programs without the shadow that day casts blocking out all perspective imo.
Saban: 46-7
Miles: 44-9
Oh, and that including that ONE DAY. Take that out, and:
Saban: 45-7
Miles: 44-8

Ok, then what would you call LSU during the last four years?
