We have three... UK, Mizzou and St. Joes on a neutral court.

Mizzou is a top 50 RPI win, St. Joes currently (as of today) at 52.

I consider anything top 50 as good, so I guess we technically have 2, but St. Joes isn't bad either

Selection Committee will take AT LEAST 3 SEC schools, regardless how bad the conference is. If LSU can finish 3rd, they're in.

Their inconsistency is maddening sometimes. But I do think expectations were too high this year. I was drinking the Kool Aid early but realized talent alone doesn't cut it. I'm concerned about CJJ's coaching abilities. Good recruiter though. Have to give him a solid 5 years I guess and then see where the program is.

Double digit losses won't get us in the tournament. We have to get hot in a hurry and also do really well, if not win the SEC tourney

The Rhode Island loss is the killer, not tonight.

But we still have a shot to win a few big games, and the SEC tourney... It's not ova guyzzzz

We HAD to win the games we were supposed to win. This was one of them. It'll take a win at UF or Kentucky for us to be back up there in the discussion. We can always make a run in the SEC tourney, but this loss - coupled with our other bad losses - hurts.

It's not over by any means, but our tourney chances took a hit tonight.

Lsu will be back and forth between the last 8 in and the last 8 out for the rest of the year. We aren't the only bubble team losing games like this.

And everyone thought they would win out (minus UK and UF)?

Had to. Now have to win out and beat one of those teams. It is going to take a miraculous effort frankly.

That's not what everyone was saying yesterday. The posts on here were like we had the birth all locked up. We were "last 4 in".

We still have a good shot depending on how we play down the stretch and in the Sec tourney

that's why I hate this board, too high after wins, way too low after losses... That being said, I don't see why people are so distraught over an NIT berth this year.

Just remember it wasn't all that long ago that we had 5 wins (our current total) over TWO FULL SEC SEASONS.

We were in if our only losses were Arkansas Florida and Kentucky... Our score board is currently reading "fricked"

now we actually will need to beat one of them, lose to another stupid team and well need to beat both of them, lose two more to stupid bad teams and there's no chance regardless. From what I've seen of this team they are quite capable of losing to anyone.

We need to win one of those games (preferably UF because of higher RPI) to have some sort of consideration, if we don't lose to the lesser teams. Honestly, need to win the rest of the conference games to solidify our chances, period (a very long shot).

It's alright to be a fan but still be realistic. The reality is this team is NIT bound. As you and others have said, they'd have to win at Florida or Kentucky to still have a chance AND win the rest of the games on the schedule. They can't even win at Georgia so what makes anybody believe they could win at Rupp or the O'Connell Center? That's not to say I won't be watching or going to every game I'm able to but at some point we need to accept the inevitable.

I agree with you that the team is NIT bound, no doubt about it. Sadly, for a team to have so much talent.
