Thank you. Preach it, brother.

This is a young team. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Totally agree. You beat RI and finish 12-6, I think you get in fairly easily with a decent showing in ATL

The daily BPI has LSU as the 78th team now. We fell 12 spots in that bracketology from last night's loss. It's a brutal climb up. Probably need a 7-2 finish, and two wins in the SECT.

Troubling part of this is if JOB, Mickey, and Martin leave. Next years team will likely be worse than this years in that case.

No way in hell they all 3 leave.

I'd be willing to bet that only JOB goes. OUTSIDE shot of Mickey leaving, but I highly doubt that happens.

I think the 1st two are gone pecans but Martin still has a lot of work to do to be a draftable prospect.

I agree with you that the team is NIT bound, no doubt about it. Sadly, for a team to have so much talent.

A team with that much talent is capable of bringing an NIT championship trophy home from Madison Square Garden. Which is a step in the right direction for next year.

None of the three should leave, but I have read that JOB is definitely gone, and Martin thinks he's NBA ready. That's 2 out of 3, and actually Mickey is probably the one who is shooting up the charts the most. If they all 3 leave, next year will be rough, regardless of who is coming in.

With 9 games left, not including SEC tournament -- it is still early to make a claim that we are out b/c of a loss to UGA on the road. Cool it

Not really. We need a small (maybe big?) miracle. Meaning we have to beat either UK or UF on the road and not lose any other regular season games and win probably 2 games in the SECT.

In the CBB world this team is pretty old actually.

Wrong assumption pique. Every one who follows the process knew and said we were firmly on the bubble with a solid chance to play our way in. Now we need miracles instead of handling our bizzness ourselves and playing to our potential on the road.

Of all the memes repeated after LSU losses, this has got to be the dumbest.

LSU's best and most consistent player all year has been a Freshman. Obviously he had no issue adapting to college ball. Of the rest of LSU's primary contributors, the core of this "young" team consist of:

A 4-year starter
Two 3-year starters
A Senior JUCO player who has play 30 mins per game since he's been here.

The only young player who was expected to contribute big things, but has looked overwhelmed is Martin. The reason expectations were so high for this team is because you had a talented freshman class joining a group of very experienced vets.

There are a lot of reasons this team hasn't met expectations this year, but being a "young" teams isn't one of them.

If you would have said that yesterday morning you would have been labeled a negatiger.

LSU basketball fans are dreaming if they think this squad is making it to the big Tournament. The only way they make it is IF they get the automatic bid by winning the SEC Tourney.

I think when people are saying this, they mean we don't quite have the pieces that Jones likes to work with and we're not where we will be as a program a couple years down the road. Not necessarily that they're young. Our freshmen, particularly Mickey and Martin, have become our most reliable players down the stretch, which I think bodes well for our future if these are the types of players we will consistently be getting.

Weren't you just a day ago celebrating being "in" the tournament? Was LSU only "in" the Big Dance if they went undefeated the rest of the way? Tonight sucked, but the season isn't "over". There's still a chance to get really hot down the stretch.

I didn't realize all the projections said " LSU in, but only if they beat Georgia."
