As for as the players go the buck stops at the HC.

Oregeron is partially to blame for all of it.

Exhibit 1. All of the OL that have transferred did so while he was head coach.

Exhibit 2. If the OL coach is part of the problems then HC O is the one that kept him on the staff.

Exhibit 3. DL all his baby from Jenkins to himself to recruiting.

Exhibit 4. WR - I will give you that the transfers where not under his watch as the HC.
However, the whole sophmore class is very talented.
Coach up what you have.

Last point.
Coach O was the RC before being HC so even the so called recruiting missteps may be partially on him.

To say that it is not his fault is not be totally up front.

I do not place all blame on coaching.
The players have to play and execute also once the game starts.
That is why it is a team effort.

Saban even had struggles in that time frame

I don't think you're supposed to say that. No one is supposed to mention his '02 dead asleep in Game One vs VPI and getting stomped by Auburn and Alabama that year. The '04 beatdown by Georgia and the last second wins vs Oregon State,Florida,Ole Miss and Troy really never happened.

You're supposed to say Saban took over a team with no talent,no potential starter for DII team and went 13-0 every season.

No the life boat is recruiting. Saban recuits like no other. If we are to get better it has to start there. This is O s first real recuiting year so lets see. So far I would say he has a ways to go.

Saban had to rebuild

Not really. He inherited Trev Faulk and Bradie James and Ryan Clark on defense and on offense he inherited Rohan Davey, Josh Reed, LaBrandon Toefield, Brandon Winey and Dominick Davis as well as Louis Williams.

Pretty good core to start with

O took over a team with receivers having little experience and lacking SEC talent. His offensive line has been forced into starting freshman. This is not his fault.

O was Miles' recruiting coordinator.

Any lack of talent in this team falls squarely on him.

Orgeron was recruiting coordinator for really one cycle and that was for the 2016 class, before that it was Wilson

I would not say that the receivers lack SEC talent, more than anything else, a lot of them were really playing in their first conference game - ever....even the seniors like Gage and Dillon.

Nothing other than winning will stop some of these folks from melting. Even then, a few will still swear that it's the end if LSU.

Do you find that odd? What’s the point of playing, if not to win? Stupid post.

This isn't about any coach. This is about any program. You will have ups and downs. Yes Alabama has been the most consistent program for a while and many want us to be at that level. I agree we should be. All I am saying is our ship may be sinking but only time will tell. I challenge each of you that feel as if it's sinking to look in the mirror and say you haven't made mistakes in your careers no matter if your a burger flipper or president of a multi million dollar company.

I will end by saying this Coach O may not be the right guy. But can you with out a doubt say you know who the right guy is?

Go tigers!
you misspelled "geaux". You are not a real fan.

You can't judge Coach O or any coach for that matter of one previous coaching job.

Except, that's exactly how coaches are judged. If a coach doesnt want to be judged by previous job...he's a fan.
The end.

He has it and there is a mix going on with those 3, as it should be, you have to break a few eggs to have a good gumbo, I cook my gumbo 5 to 6 hours.

And how many freshmen are starting for us/getting significant playing time again? We're def in a rebuild of sorts.

This is a bunch of bullshite. We have 9 starters players on offense that are Seniors and Juniors. (One red shirt soph. and one freshman that is not rebuilding.) 8 starters on D that are Seniors and Juniors. That is pretty much the average for any college team. Devin White and Lawrence are quality experienced sophomores. LSU has always played alot of Freshman over the past 12 years. It's annoying when people keep giving talking points/excuses that are just not true.
