For a successful coach, Maneri keeps a really low profile

No studio gig. No on air visits to the broadcast booth during innings. No podcast, radio or tv interviews. Do you think he is being respectful to Johnson or is that just his personality?

He occasionally makes appearances. He’s never been a look at me type, why would he start once he retired? Plays golf and spends time with family. Good life to me.

He’s been on with Mikie a couple times last year but I don’t think he has much interest in being in the limelight.

Considering at least half the fanbase hated him, not sure why he would want to be too public any more.

Let’s assume he’s 65. Baseball was a part of his life since he was born. I’d imagine his wife has some things she’s long wanted to do. I been working offshore for 15 years and if I got shitcanned tomorrow with manneris wealth you’d never see or hear me involved in offshore activities again in my life. Maybe the man needs a break.

No where near half the fanbase hated him.

Just a few loud morons on this board.

He has some health issues which were partially to blame for his retirement. Let the man live his life relaxing with his feet up, watching the Tigers storm through this spring right into Omaha.

Generally, coaches are totally burned out by the time they retire.

He would actually be a great fit for Tulane job
Notre dame wanted him last year and he wasn’t ready

Why would he leave LSU to retire and take the Tulane job?

He is retired. Nothing says he has to be in contact with the media or LSU. Let him rest.

He's very interesting to people who follow baseball when he speaks about baseball.

First off, he doesn’t have the personality or voice to be in an analyst role on a network show.

As far as interviews during games or something, he is like everyone else said, tired. Dudes rich and 65. I wouldn’t leave the recliner except to go somewhere to eat good.
