You would've seen LF win it.

Tigers lack the discipline. The edge. The pursuit of excellence.

Their oline and offensive game planning are also far superior.

LF didn't fail. The system failed him.

LSU fans would feel Henry got screwed by Les and that Fournette is a joke.

The system did fail him. You can't have great performances against cupcakes and have sub par results against much better talent and expect to win this award. Yea he is a great back but he was not put in position to ever win this award. Would of liked to see him catch a ton more out of the backfield which would of helped us tremendously against the better talented teams. As long as we keep running the predictable plays, we will never have a player win this award.

I hear an echo...

Who gives a shite. Worst case scenario: Henry wins heisman, which further elevates LF7's drive to be better thus in the end...Tigers win the natty. The end.

My earlier post from another thread:

quote:

2 games less than the winner.

Done out of an offense that was one dimensional.

There is no doubt that Henry in Fournettes place could not come close to the same production.

Put LF7 behind a line that can hold regularly and not get called and his numbers would have looked like tecmo bowl.

Yeah, he played two more games. So Henry had more carries. It usually goes to best player on best team. The only time it doesn't happen is when a qb wins it.

Could you imagine the backlash if Les let LF carry the ball 40+ times in a game? LSU could have easily done that and LF could have every single record.

I think it's possible that LF could have 245 yards and 5 tds on 68 more carries.

People would have voted for LF just because he played for Bama. Just like Henry got the Bama bump.

LF had 14 carries for 14 yards deep into that game. Scam Scameron should have had a plan in place to get him 7-9 receptions like Le'Veon and Forte get vs stellar run defenses. I'm sick of reading threads about this shite. LF got his shot at this thing. Next year we need a TEAM approach.

We lack one thing and he's called Nick Saban. He picks OCs who are creative, he always has 2qbs in training, his teams always have one of the top 3-4 offensive lines in the country, and yes his teams are all disciplined. LF would have been a 2,200yd back with Saban and Henry would maybe get 1,000 with our 6th grade offensive system.

The thing is, the best team hasn't technically been determined yet, nor is he the best player on his. I'd say he's more of an offensive figurehead rather than the best player.

Fournette is a much better back. Flip them and Fournette wins the Heisman by a mile. If I rank the backs since 1980 (when I went to college) Fournette is surpassed only slightly by...

Bo, Hershel, and Sanders

I'll call it a push with AP, Earl, Walter Payton, Faulk, Dickerson and probably a couple I can't remember.

I'd put Henry in the next tier. He's very good, but not one of the top twenty backs I've seen.

And yet nothing has changed. Our OC & DC were not sought after for HC jobs and the Les/Cam offense and QB development has failed miserably once again. And again, nothing has changed.

Look back at Charles scott. That is what Henry would be at LSU without an average passing game.

LF is hands down the best RB in the country. Hell, Henry may not be in the top 3. e.g., Dalvin Cook is a better RB than Henry. Leaves this year's Heisman as a joke. If the thing is going to be awarded based on a a players team result, Watson should have been the runaway choice.
