In the bar at a Steak and Ale restaurant within walking distance from the Georgia Dome. The best part was that as the Pitt-WVU game ended, there were some Georgia fans that were just as happy as the LSU fans there because they thought they were going to the 'ship.

At my Aunt's house for a family party.... If I remember correctly, I was switching channels during commercials/timeouts and everyone kept questioning me as to why I was doing that... And I kept saying "We're going to New Orleans if we win this... And not for the Sugar Bowl." and everyone laughed at me.. Then when it was announced that Georgia was going to the Sugar Bowl, I jumped up and called every person that was there to say "I told you so"

Lived in Tulsa, OK at the time. We had watched the SEC Championship at a sportsbar with the Northeast Oklahoma LSU Alumni Chapter. (What's up, Keith!) The okie's that were still there at that time of night were looking at us like we were crazy.

....And yes, a few years earlier we got to ring in the 2003 championship vs the Sooners behind enemy lines, too! Almost as good as being at the game! Let's just say we weren't very popular around the neighborhood.

We watched the game in Ted Turner's joint in Atlanta after the Tigers dispatched Tennessee. It was like watching your lottery numbers slowly revealed. One thing after another ... Unreal.

I remember exactly where I was and all that, but anser me this.....

Do y'all remember going into that weekend, or ANY part of that night thinking LSU still had a mathematical chance? I do NOT remember that part.

I remember the end of the Pitt game, THEN people saying it looks like it's going to be LSU.

How about y'all? Sounds like many of y'all were already aware of the fact that if we won/a bunch of other stuff happened, we'd go. I do not remember that part of the deal going in that weekend.

No. Truth be told, I was concerned we weren't going to win the SEC Championship due to Flynn being out. I didn't have my hopes up for a good weekend. Turned out to be one of the greatest weekends I can remember as an LSU fan

LSU had beaten Tennessee to win the SEC championship earlier in the day. OU then beats Mizzou, and Pitt upsets WVU. Where were you, and what was going through your head? I was at a nice restaurant in Monroe sitting in the bar area with friends watching both games. I remember thinking, "Unbelievable...LSU is going to the national championship" I'll never forget that night. Where were all of you??

If I recall correctly, the WVU/Pitt game ended before the OU/Mizzou game because after we left the GA Dome we went to have dinner at Steak and Ale in downtown Atlanta. The place was full of LSU fans and there was a lady with a radio who kept calling out the score of the WVU game. She was practically giving us the play by play. It was great. When we got back to the hotel, we watched the end of the OU/Mizzou game at the bar. It was a great night to be a Tiger!

The Lounge at Marriott Marquis Atlanta, with kids and exchange student from Holland. Danced in the streets like we were crazy. Everyone out that night was in purple and gold. Exchange student still talks alot about that night; 2nd only to being in the Dome when LSU beat Ohio State for the national championship.

Fun times. Last Saturday, not so much

Was at my soon-to-be son's baby shower. Left the party, got in the car to head back to BR when Zenon made the pick 6. I got my half-asleep, 9 mos preggo wife out the car and we watched the last bit of the game.

We headed back to BR and I got home just in time to see the Big East do all it could to fix the game for WVU. Fate was on our side that night. I considered that failed fix job karma for the Auburn 2006 game that probably cost us a title.

That 2007 season also saw us pay back VaTech with some karma for the crap they pulled in 2002.

Regardless, that was what I was doing.
