B. Carry around a bottle of liquor and take pulls?

That's asking for a cop to come over and tell you to pour your shite out.

Last time I went ('11) we pre-mixed the whiskey, vodka, ect. into the bottles of coke and sprite. We walked all over campus with an ice chest of (spiked) coke and sprite.

We tailgated a ways from miss fans so the cops weren't as numerous where we were. It was windy as frick and set up the walls on our tent. We set up our beer pong table inside the tent and played with one side open. No one told us a thing. We kept the ice chest containing the beer in our truck just to be safe.

All-in all we had a good time. Grove seemed stuck up but that's pretty much what I expected. I'm sure the ole miss fans have a great time with that. The game was a blast, mainly because the entire section I sat in on the home side was full of LSU fans.

Anyone know how hard it is to bring a flask into the game?

The Grove is extremely underwhelming with an added touch of racism.

Should be pretty easy. I snuck into the game without a ticket when I went. Walked right thru the line when I saw a chance. Had a Gatorade bottle filled with beer in my hand. Once I got thru the gate a guard saw me and said throw that bottle away.

A pint? You'd be better off putting whatever you're drinking into a flask. I've never been patted down going into their stadium.

Flask is what I meant. I was looking at a pint when I was typing.

I've always had good luck(knock on wood) with making "beam bags" and bringing them into tiger stadium, hidden behind a wallet or in my underwear. Basically food saver bags sealed with liquor in them. A little time consuming but worth it. If I can get them through the pat down at TS student section I figure Ole miss will be no problem.

Hot bitches everywhere that are slutty.

In all seriousness, one of the few places that isn't a shithole in Mississippi. One of the few rival school venues I actually like going to. Oxford is a nice area.

The grove is the most overrated aspect of the SEC. That place sucks, and is a huge let down.

Moo St's cowbells are cooler than the grove.

Campus is nice and that's about it. Ole Miss sucks pretty much every way possible. As far as the Grove goes I just don't understand how it is fun for them. Most boring tailgate situation I've ever seen first hand.

I've been to the grove with OM fans an solo.

It's maybe the most overrated experience in CFB

Cops are cocks. The grove is an over populated snooze fest. I was amazed at how tame and lame it was. Stadium does get loud though

I love the grove. Just because there isnt shitty trashy rap music blaring like in some of the tailgates in BR, doesnt mean it isnt fun. Oxford is amazing as well, especially the square. Honestly, the most overrated part of the experience is the om girls. I've seen just as much talent in BR and even more in Athens. Don't get me wrong, there's beautiful girls everywhere, but it wasn't what it was hyped up to be.

easily one of my favorite road games though.

In '03 got patted down lost the liquor and was then told I also lost my right to come into the Stadium. They had already torn my ticket. After that asshat left walked back up placed my empty flask in the trash and walked in with the remaining stub. At the seats by kick off and had a couple of airplane bottles of crown at half time. If you are wearing LSU colors expect a pat down. I suggest offering up a $3 flask with an ounce of booze left in it that you throw away as you enter to take away suspicion.

I had a great time when I went in 03, but things went south quick after the game. I have never seen such a pissed off group after a loss. I understand that they probably realized that was their last shot a being good for a while, but it was ugly.

After that game I went back to the Grove and had a couple of beers from Ole Miss fans. Granted I live in Jackson and knew them so they were not rude. Disappointed yes, but nice enough after a win to allow a guy in purple and gold to hang out. I really want that same thing this year. To be able to go drink their beer after a Tiger win and try not to gloat.

I enjoy both, and don't find them very comparable other than they take place before SEC football games. It's a nice change of pace from what we normally do.

i agree but i can only take it once a year
