Has LSU as #3 National Seed (!!), paired with Southern Miss

1. LSU
4. Illinois-Chicago

2. South Alabama
3. Sam Houston St.

I just posted this a few mins ago in that other idiots thread.

I was thinking 4 or 5, but the 3 don't hurt.

No McNeese State? No ULL? Surprising. I wouldn't want to play Mississippi State in the regional. I want as many SEC Teams in Omaha as possible.

Based on those projections, not wild about potentially facing State as the 2 in the USM bracket.

Stanford paired with Long Beach? That sucks for both of them.

You mean the team that has no pitching and LSU swept in Starkville?

Right, would require going 5-1 in a month against a good SEC opponent after we took their manhood at their place. Just don't like it. All for it being a moot point.

The melt from A&M fans would be glorious.

Vandy, Auburn and State only three SEC teams in who aren't hosting. That's brutal. So many non at-large teams won their tournament.

It was a blood bath for bubble teams today.

I can't see A&M not getting in though with 16 SEC wins.

Auburn over them is funny.

Auburn finished 3-10 down the stretch and lost their series to A&M. Both have RPIs in the 40s.

That would be one of the easiest regionals we've ever had.

South Alabama as our 2? frick outta here.

We'd walk to Omaha. Hopefully sweeping State in the supers along the way.

I too not to crazy about Miss State or any other SEC possibly coming to BR in Super Regionals.

State won't make it out of that Southern Miss regional.

I think both get in. Even with all of the at large bids that were wiped away, this is still a pretty weak at large class.

Iowa probably would.

We know whoever is the regional host paired with LSU won't make it out of their own regional. Has happened like once in the last 10 years (Rice in '09 I think).
