Thats a tough potential regional for lsu.

Ill chicago would be one of the toughest 4 seeds, sam houston, one of the best 3 seeds.

Not to mention drawing southern miss, who is possibly the best non top 8 team.

I cant see how you put auburn in over a&m.

Southern miss would be the favorite of that potential regional

Understand. But usm has played no one this year. Hence they get a regional but no nat seed

Baseball America has LSU paired with Florida State's regional. It would be fun to end both their softball and baseball seasons.

Don't like at all. USM is the real deal.and scrappy, was up for national seed talk until last couple of days of season. It would be like Stoney Brook or Coastal Carolina coming in here again. Do not want

I don't see State winning 3 or 4 games in a weekend with their pitching depth.

They won't be as exposed in a regional as they were against SEC competition. They won their first two games in the SEC tournament. If they did that in a regional, they would be in the championship round needing to be beaten twice. In their third game, they led Florida 3-0 in the 8th before the bullpen fell apart. Even after that, they still had enough pitching to hang with Arkansas for 5+ innings before the bullpen fell apart again. In the third game of a regional, if they got a similar start to what they had against Florida, needing only six outs to advance, I wouldn't be surprised if they found a way to hold onto a late lead.
