Truthfully, I think this depends on Quarterman.
We assume Simmons will be unstoppable; he may well be, but will still need help.
As much as people speculate on Martin and Mickey, I say we go ahead and consider them gone for now.
You still need Hornsby to do just what he's doing now, but you also need someone to step up and be an experienced leader.
Quarterman will be a junior, he's a mismatch at guard. He will handle the ball a lot. He's the guy you need to develop more, to control the game late (and this doesn't have to be scoring, it can be just controlling tempo and then making the right pass). The good thing is, you get the sense he can make that next step.

It's been a rough 2 seasons S. I understand. We still have a lot to play for though. I'm optimistic somehow.

I don't think either one of M&M stay. We will be thin down low once again. We need one more solid big man that can contribute right away.

if jones could get it through to mickey and martin what a year in the big limelight could do for them (tyrus thomas and glen davis) then we would have incredible promise for the coming year.

But am I wrong for being excited for ... *gasp* ... Next year simply because I'm excited to see Simmons play? Just want to make sure I'm not violating any Rant rules.

GUARD PLAY !!!!!!!!! This is what gets you there. Wasn't addressed in my opinion. It's alot like QB's if one steps up we have a chance . If not. early exit anticipated.
