This was always the argument against Brandon Harris.

Now that Etling is QB it isn't his fault.

Not sure what this has to do with Franks not being any good. He played horrible that game up to that throw which Tennessee decided not to defend the goal line.

Wrong. QB play has been the Achilles heel for LSU the last 4 years or so.

Tom Brady couldn't have won with that line and receiver performance.

Lindsey Scott plays for perhaps the best JUCO in the country.
Etling would be the best in JUCO too if he went that route. Scott is a coward for going to JUCO. I'd rather someone with some chest.

His numbers up until that throw were an upgrade from what we got Saturday. Also 5th year senior vs. RS freshman in 2nd game.

Comparing Patterson to what we're getting is just crazy.

That's why they call it a Hail Mary.

Which Etling doesn't have the arm strength for.

Florida would've been up by 30 points at that point with a semi competent QB. Why does that make the Hail Mary impressive?

no, the argument against Harris was that he was terribly inaccurate, even (especially) on short throws.

We all saw it. He would consistently would miss wide open guys on easy short routes. Now it's certainly true that not every incompletion was Harris' fault, but damn, if you can't see that Harris is a very inaccurate passer, then I just don't know what to say.

And if you saw UNC's first game, you know what I'm talking about. Harris played well the second game in relief of the freshman QB, but now that the freshman is back, Harris barely saw the field last week.

Sorry, but Harris is just inaccurate.

Well, being down 30 points would make that difficult.
