My favorite memory from this series goes back to 1995. Bring back the magic. Gerry Dinardo first year at LSU. After a horrible 3 to 4 years with Hullman. LSU came in with a young Kevin Faulk. Jamie Howard playing against Auburn for the final time to redeem himself. Troy Twillie with the game saving interception over Pat Nix to seal the win in the endzone. It was during that season I became an LSU Tiger Fan for life.

I’m a younger Tiger fan, but nothing will ever top Leonard Fournette running buck wild against Auburn at a game I was in attendance for. Fournette broke off the first run of the game for like 70 yards, and I knew we were in for a treat that day. It was so hot that day though.

Flynn to Byrd was magic. I came home from Europe that day and had recorded the game. Ended up watching it in the middle of the night and was yelling and screaming, waking up my wife and infant daughter. It was worth it.

Cole Tracy 2018. Coming back down 21-10 in the 4th with our new transfer qb, some guy named Joe Burrow.

Beat 2 top-10 teams in the first three games that year. It was a sign of good things to come

2007 was my freshman year. Flynn to Byrd will always be seared into my memory.

Heck of a year to be a freshman LSU football fan.

Edit: I combined memories of 2001 and 2003.

2001: game is the season finale due to 9/11 attacks. Winners represents the West. AU gets penalized pre-game and we onside kick it, Michael Clayton recovers, and we steal a 7-0 lead. LSU leads 21-7 at halftime. At half, their kicker loses a fight with the band and then misses a short FG later in the game...LSU wins 27-14.

2003: LSU pulverizes AU leading 21-0 after Broussards toss sweep TD run in the first quarter. Tubberville starts crying and it's 31-0 in third quarter after Mauck hits Henderson. That AU team was preseason No. 2 I think but just wasn't it. Got killed by us and USC that year.

Previous play was the same play but Hodson didn't see Fuller open in the endzone.

Flynn to Byrd followed closely by Cole to Tracy.

The Etling TD pass that wasn't would've been #1

Hodson to Fuller for the win. What makes this compelling, is this is the same play they ran before this winning TD. Only thing different is Fuller's feet were in bounds for the TD. Then the Earthquake began!

I could’ve swore I remembered Hodson hit Fuller in the back of the end zone but when he came down his foot was out of bounds. Did that happen or am I crazy?

The rescheduled game due to 9/11. Auburn stomped on the eye at midfield during pregame warmups so the referees threw an unsportsmanlike conduct flag to be enforced on the opening kickoff.

So LSU started the game with an onsides kick to start the game. LSU recovered the ball and scored a touchdown. Later, Tommy Tuberville tried a surprise onsides kick to steal back the lost possession. It was unsuccessful and gave LSU good field position,

I don't know if this is my favorite memory, but it hasn't been mentioned yet. 2008 my buddies and I traveled to Auburn for the second time (2006 would rank as worst Auburn memory). I just remember finally beating them in Auburn for the first time in years. I remember Lee hitting Lafell on an out route and getting into the endzone. It was such a great feeling.

Also, earlier in the game, I think it was Keiland that threw a halfback pass. My buddy says it felt like slow motion. Keiland gets the pitch and he can hear me yelling "He's going to throw it", then he hits the receiver for the TD.

1. D. Byrd’s touchdown catch.

2. Earthquake catch.

3. Blocked extra point in 1969.

I was at all of them.

I remember our band getting in a fight with their kicker after their halftime performance. Duval was the Auburn's kicker name.
