I was at this one that was a fun game seeing LSU run up and down the field but my favorite was when USC came into town. I think it was 1979 or 1980 they were ranked no. 1 or 2, they barely limped out of Tiger stadium alive LOL. With a bullshite flag I think it was a face mask LSU whip their butts all over the field. My dad and I were screaming at each other sitting right next to each other we couldn’t even hear what the other one was saying. I couldn’t talk for three days after that game that was the best game ever in Tiger Stadium.

2007 Florida. The atmosphere second to none. Tebow. Urban never losing 2 straight. 10-point 4th qtr rally. Ultimate drive to win.

2022 Bama. After years of heartbreak finally get a W at home on the last play. I still can’t believe Bama forced OT. Stadium was rocking. Got to storm the field.

I have been to many LSU football games since 1960 when I was in 4th grade. The two games where I thought LSU fans were more ecstatic than any others were: 1982 in Birmingham when we finally beat Bama 20-10. Also, the 2001 SECCG game when we upset Tennessee and won the SEC title.

Too many to count but the 2001 SEC championship game vs UT was special. LSU ranked #20, UT #2, UT had already beaten LSU earlier in the season. UT starts walking around with roses in the mouths believing the game was over at halftime. Matt Mauck had to take over from Ro Davey who got injured in the first half and also lost Toefield to an ACL in the first half, Mauck basically ran the ball the second half and LSU overcame a big deficit to beat UT. That game was pretty amazing.

Mine is 1982 LSU vs Bama at Legion Field. LSU-20-10 and dominated Bama.
That one is in my Top 5.

1972 vs Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium. (17-16 win)
1982 vs Bama at Legion Field. (20-10 win) GBFTL
1982 vs Florida State in Tiger Stadium. (55-21 win) GBFTL
1997 vs Florida in Tiger Stadium. (28-21 win)

Oddly enough, the two most INTENSE ATMOSPHERES in Tiger Stadium were both maddening loses.

1979 vs Southern California. (17-12 defeat)
2012 vs Alabama. (21-17 defeat.......The Chavis Prevent Defense-Yeldon Screen Pass game)

Easy for me: 2007 Florida and 2020 Clemson

One made me a fan for life, the other was the culmination of those 13 years of fanaticism.

2012 Alabama and 2022 Alabama are the teo best games I’ve been to in Tiger Stadium. Nick Saban retiring truly is going to suck the fun out of college football for me.

Yep, my eardrums were hurting somewhat fierce on that punt return.

Brought my mom to that game, had a feeling but definitely didn’t know they would win. Was amazing!

The popularity of this thread, while kinda nice, is also the testament to the sad affairs of baseball :(

2007 Florida game. It was my freshman year and I didn’t have student tickets for because I thought I was going to be in the band and not need tickets. Bought some from another student, went to go in and they had already been used. Called my pops to let him know and he said “I don’t care how much it cost, you have to go to this game, buy a ticket from a scalper” bought myself one for a stupid amount of money, was all the way up in the top deck by myself surrounded by Florida fans. It “heavily misted”. The Stanford beating USC announcement. Hester being a monster and refusing to be stopped. All the shite talking Florida fans having their souls ripped out in the background 4th quarter. I don’t think I will ever be able to top it.
