Yea, playing well really hurt the team. We should have played poorly. That would have helped much more.

You snowflakes are so sad.
LSU wins a bowl game by almost 30 points and all you can do is look for the negative.
What an oppressively sad world you must live in.

LSU fans can't be happy about anything. LSU was supposed to blow out Texas Tech, did that, and what is the rant's response? "Durr that's not good enough"

Does LSU offensive performance in Texas Bowl end up hurting the Tigers? LSU roughed up a Big 12 defense---a'hem, the 126th (of 127 FBS teams) ranked total defense--the VERY WORST Big 12 defense and almost VERY WORST in all of FBS football. I was at the game. Afterward and into following week, I found myself damned good about LSU offense -- but as dust settled, wondering if me (and others) are swimming in false perception, including LSU decision makers. Will Texas Bowl performance prevent tough decisions / actions that need to be made for an improved LSU offense in 2016?

You aren't the only one with access to this information on the TT defense. The coaching staff and admins realize how bad they are so I doubt they are beating their chests about executing against them.

False perception on LSU Offense

I agree. Only 10 teams in all of FBS football gained more yards every time they snapped the ball than LSU. We had serious execution problems in the 3 losses. Our line got manhandled one on one, in the bama game, for example. Our QB hadn't been very accurate, eliminating the concern by other defenses that a passing play would hurt them. But make no mistake, we were at the top of the SEC and the nation in yards per play. If Harris continues to progress, and is able to hit his open receivers and make the correct reads, LSU will dominate next year, regardless of the offensive changes made.

Okay Bayou Sizzle, I get what you are saying, but as others have stated, the LSU coaches and players did what they set out to do; exploit TT's weaknesses and win.

Tell us what the team could have done that would give an honest or real perception of the offense in this game that helps you be optimistic about the LSU offense?

If the only change to LSU O in 2016 is Cam Cameron on the sideline primarily because of the victory over TT, I will shoot my unicorn between the eyes...with my .45

Is not: "could have done"

Is: "will do"

2016 O needs up-to-date blueprint change...more attractive to future blue chip QBs, balance and innovation. If victory over 2nd worst D in any way detracts from this, damn.

Considering we hardly put away the teams we were supposed to hammer this year, no, not at all.

Hopefully miles recognizes that game plans need to be to attack a team's weaknesses and not run into their strength every year. (See Bama 5x in a row)
