That explains why there are thousands of weddings in South LA every year. Many of which with LSU themed groom cakes, or colors, etc. It is nothing more than your opinion.

just isn't a popular decision with those who participate in those activities (which is the majority)

I think the operative words in that (correct) statement is "popular" and "participate". We're not saying fall saturday weddings in south louisiana don't happen, we're saying some people who are not the bride or groom, who are involved or invited to fall saturday weddings don't think it's popular. The fact that weddings happen in south louisiana during the fall isn't some sort of proof that the basic idea of fall saturday weddings is widely accepted and wildly popular.

I bet that has everything to do with football too.

Sure seems like a lot of people do. Not everyone places college football as priority one. Shocker, I know.

In a college football town, most do

I participate in those things. I had and have been to fall Saturday weddings. I'm not the only person like me. Kinda blows a giant hole in your argument there.

Well New Orleans is an exception to the typical South, but LSU football is still a very big deal there

your wedding wasn't on a gameday so you cannot use your fall wedding as an example unless your family or in laws are being Bama or Auburn fans.

It was also on a day that you knew their wouldn't be a game based on past schedules; whether you considered that i do not know or really care.

Ok, what does that have to do with it being popular

I'd choose a friend's wedding, but I wouldn't like it and it certainly wouldn't be popular

Only if you change the meaning of the word popular

Do what now? Don't forget this place is not a good cross section of the actual populace.

This forum? I never said it was! It's just that I've seen and heard it enough over the years to know I'm right, beyond the shadow of a doubt.
Trust me- this isn't something that just started happening in 2011.

Don't get me wrong- you should plan your own wedding when YOU want it. I'm just telling you how people actually feel about them- but won't tell you in person.

Really grasping at straws now huh?

Actually when the schedule came out, the game was originally scheduled for Saturday. I was fine with that.

I'm catching on to your game, and you can't change the rules midgame. Just for you, I put in "some". Some people don't think it's popular. You personally falling outside of the "some people" does not "blow a giant hole in my argument". LNCHBOX is not a majority of one, here and forever invalidating ideas and opinions with the sweep of his keyboard.

again, the existence of fall saturday weddings is not proof that the negative opinion is invalid.

I swear you guys just aren't reading. I have never said people need to feel a certain way about a wedding. Not once.

Never claimed that.

You claiming it isn't popular with the majority of people doesn't make you right either.

Yea, it is the point. You're trying to take this to a new argument that I never made.
