Yup. Was going to get to see #1 LSU vs #3 Arkansas back in 2011. Friends wedding was the next day; and I was in the wedding.

My family sent a lot of pictures from the game.

Living in Arkansas and getting all the text messages when Arkansas went up 14-0 just made the day so much better.

Between hunting and football season, anyone from LA having a Fall wedding is asking to have no one show up

totally agree. All of my close friends know this rule and abide by it. People that don't follow this rule really piss me off. I just don't go to them.

My wife and I competed to get the bye weekend in 2011 at our desired venue. If we hadn't gotten that weekend, we were going to put the wedding off until the next spring or even later.

My parents thought we were insane. I told them that it's just a rule you don't break.

Hate it just as much when they say "but the game is an away game".

People who get married in the fall and don't schedule accordingly suck

I'm not going to apologize for missing your wedding. You should apologize to me for making me feel bad about missing your wedding.

I've never understood why people get married between September and December. There are 8 other months to do this.

Yall do realize weddings are usually scheduled before the schedule is set, right?

And are you guys really so pathetic that you can't miss one football game for a wedding (assuming it is a close friend or relative, otherwise who cares)?

ETA: I got married Nov 30 last year. Watched the kick 6 with all my groomsmen and my dad at the church right before the wedding started.

Pump the brakes homie. I'm definitely going to the wedding and will have a blast in NOLA. It's the principle..

If a wedding was about the guy, this would never happen. And believe me it's always something. Hurricane season. Too cold. Too hot. Not during march madness.
