Being unbiased here:

The main problem with this scenario would be the outcry from every other conference and the playoff committee. Dec 4th is bowl selection day when everyone finds out who they play. Moving that back a week due to the SEC's incompetence is not a good look.

Why would it be in the Georgia Dome and not in Gainesville?

Are you insinuating that we would agree to cancel our home game with USA if we could replace it with Florida? I'd be down.

No doubt we'd be down, but in no circumstances will Florida ever agree to that. If they were forced to take that there would be lawsuits.

Read the article. Says Saban would have a fit if this were to happen. Not going to HAPPEN!!

But why would he have a fit? I don't understand why he would be against it. It's not all that helpful to LSU relative to any other scenario, but would be a huge advantage to an Alabama team playing UF in the SECCG.

Great.

Sankey's incompetence and Alleva's spineless weren't enough. Let's throw in F. King Alexander into the mix.

Alabama’s Nick Saban would probably have a meltdown cataclysmic enough to shake the ground in Tuscaloosa if that move was accepted

Even better.

Saban would be pissed if we didn't rescheduled to our bye week right before Bama. That's all he'd care about.

Yeah because having a bye week before Alabama has always helped before...

Alexander’s preference is for LSU and Florida to play on Dec. 3 in the Georgia Dome and delay the SEC Championship Game by one week in the same arena in Atlanta

This is good date. But... In the GA Dome?

FL will not give up a home game against LSU

Dec 3 in Gainesville is most possible scenario imo.

I'm 97% certain that having an extra week to prepare and get healthy would outweigh anything else. Especially since history doesn't mean jack.

Well there is the whole big deal with the Football Playoff Committee who, on Dec 4th are supposed to announce the final 4. The entire world of college football will be put on hold for what? Because florida couldn't get their shite together enough to have this game on Sunday or today???

F King Alexander is going to have to convince the NCAA to push back the CFP committee's selection of the final 4 a week as well. I just don't see them agreeing to that over one game that may or may not even affect the final 4. It would also cost the SEC A LOT of money to push back the championship game. Again, I don't see them doing that over one game. That has happened one time, in 2001 after 9/11, when the entire college football season was pushed back a week. I think this idea is a non-starter

Not sure about the reasoning behind saying Saban would meltdown about the move. Its an extra week of rest if his team is playing in the SECCG, with the possibility that he'll be playing UF team without rest.

We give not 1 frick about how Saban would react. This is an LSU and UForfeit conversation. He needs to keep his mouth shut when grown folks are talking.

Right. Playing on Dec 3rd would have an effect on EVERY bowl eligible team in the NCAA causing the bowl matchups to be announced later. I don't see how that is an option.

Well.... and I'm probably giving *WAY* too much credit to that tool F'King A..... but, maybe that is the angle from LSU. Push this as the best option, then the SEC might wake up and see that it actually has to make some tough decisions internally to save face nationally and avoid pushing back the SECCG. And this would mean, imo, inconveniencing Arkie or UGA, who are involved in the most favorable scenarios.

If I'm FKA, I go in with a list of 4 alternatives, in order of preference:

1. Move the SECCG back a week.
2. Make UGA and UF play 10/22, then LSU/UF play 10/29.
3. Make UF play **at** LSU on 11/19.
4. Move Ark/LSU to 10/29, S.Alabama game moves to 11/2.

How 'bout this?

LSU wins out. We beat UForfeit into the ground on 12/3. But they win the east. We beat them again. In the SECCG. Same stadium. One week later. Equal or greater score. Lolz abound.

Not gonna happen, but lolz!

Problem I seen is that the selection committee chooses two days after the SECCG. So, now, UF could potentially affect every team in the country due to their incompetence.
