Not really. Results to me arent necessarily measured in stats. Baseball is the only sport that I’d say that about. If lsu is recruiting and playing at an elite level for the next 10 years but falls short of a championship, it’s not a failure. Lots of teams play championship level baseball every year. Only one team reaches the other side.

This team seems like an Omaha caliber team, but there’s a lot of factors that aren’t taken into consideration when making it to Omaha.

Injuries and just flat out luck play a huge factor.

There are many great coaches in D1 College Baseball with 0 Titles. For example, Dave Van Horn at Arkansas is one. Was literally a dropped pop up from one.
