I almost get the feeling Mr. Warner has been paying attention to some of the PosiTiger beatdowns of the under 30 NegaTiger crowd's deluded, knee jerk and childish arguments.

Makes me glad I own his book (someone gave it to me for Xmas) and not only he is a Miles fan, he's also writing a book on the Flora-Bama.

OK, I'll play the game. I gave up a couple of weeks ago.

In football, statistics are irrelevant when compared to Wins versus Losses. That is all that matters. Do you think fans in Arkansas today would trade all of Mallet's gaudy numbers in exchange for swamping tricky nicky and the boys from UAT (Tuscaloosa for those who cannot keep up)? I think they would.

Right now, all things equal, LSU, Toilet-Paper Corners (Aubbie), and UAT control the West. Until they play, nothing else matters. Do you think the fans in Ft. Smith and Little Rock would trade the 6'6" redneck's passing numbers for being in first place? I think they would. Better yet, I think they should. I'd gladly root for a team that was 120th in the country that got to plant the LSU flag in the center of the Georgia Dome come December.

I'll admit it: I hold my breath every time LSU drops back to pass. But Pimp is right. Les and Billy are playing their best hand in 9. Blame Perrilloux. Blame the LA Dodger's. Doesn't matter. 9 is a good kid. The team is winning. Warner gets this one right, too. How can we / you / us as LSU people collectively BOO a 4 - 0 team? What the hell?

LSU FANS PLEASE - quit the incessant complaining and appreciate the Tigers for what they are. GREAT in 3.0 parts of the game (Defense = 1 part, Spec Teams = 1 part, and Running game = 1 part). Top 5, Top 5, and Top 15, respectively in the nation. The passes will come. The drops will stop. This team will win games. How do I know this? Because the SEC comes down to two questions every year: Can you play D? Can you run the ball? If your team can answer two yes's there, you have a shot at the ATL in December. LSU can say yes to both. This suggests to me that Les knows more than we think. This team is far better coached this year than last. It is apparent. Poorly coached teams fold in the fourth quarter. This team so far has dug deep and toughed-out games in the 2nd half. I respect that even if it isn't pretty.

Why can't LSU people choose to be happy about 4 - 0 and just see how the season plays out?

The glass is 3/4 full fellas and ladies. Pimp has it right. So does Warner. Appreciate the team for what it is. LSU could be Ole Miss after all.

You REALLY think LSU is "great" in the running game? How much football do you watch?

Miles hypothetically decides to take the Notre Dame job, because they offer him $6 million. He is gone. The Cajuns have gotten their wish. Skip Bertman is gone. He isn’t hiring anyone. Joe Alleva and the good ole boys on the Board of Supervisors would take over. Ask yourself this question Les Miles haters: Do you trust Joe Alleva to find a coach that can recruit and win games at the clip Les Miles has? If you can say yes without reservation to that one then you must work in the Athletic Department or you are a close relative of Joe’s. Because the likelihood of that happening in this unforgiving, headhunting conference is slim to none! So in your next moment of insecurity, when all seems lost in your world outside of purple and gold because the Tigers came close to losing a game again because of their offense, think about what it is like to be an Ole Miss fan.

Not only is Skip gone, but so is Mark Emmert. Just be glad Joe Dean is LONG gone!

You seem to have an inside view of the practices. How bad does Lee look? I mean, all reports out of LSU are that JJ gets 75% of the snaps with the 1's, so in the 25% of the snaps that Lee gets, how many pick sixes are we talking about per practice?

I don't claim to have personal knowledge, but I do know a few people and all of them have said JL looks great in practice, he makes quick decisions and has an accurate pass. Maybe I am being lied to but I don't see any reason for that.

With that said, practice is one thing, those green jersey's can make you feel unstoppable. Nobody will truly know what JL can bring to the offense until he is given a chance in a game. So let's stop trying to play coach without any information. Everyone seems to believe that if JJ keeps running the option upright like he does we will see JL anyway. In time we will have our answer, I just hope it isn't after 2 losses.

I think that is what makes everyone so frustrated, in CFB there is a sense of urgency that the NFL and other sports do not have to deal with. A team with the talent this one has displayed can have BCS championship dreams, one loss COULD kill those dreams. Les should let JL have some quality time now, if only so he has had some when he is called upon.

Who do you think is better genius? In the SEC?

I would say that anyone in the top five of the league and top twenty in the nation is "great" relative to the other 120 school that are playing.

I didn't say "all time" or "historic."

I understand your point, but I have never understood the mindset of being satisfied with whatever you have because there is someone elsewhere who has it worse.

I do not want to fire Les or GC btw, but I would like to see JL get some time, even if it is only to have him ready if needed. I cannot see the intelligence is letting him have 2 passes in mop up duty over 4 games and then if he has to come in for an injured JJ at UF he will be thrown to the wolves again.

I would also love to see Les leave GC alone with the game plan for 1 damn game and see what he does. I refuse to believe the guy who called an offense that set records at LSU is calling this crap without interference.

How do you know this?

Where is your crystal ball?

Do you know of injuries and suspensions and turnovers and all the unpredictable facets of the the games before they are played?

Sure, LSU could win 9 games.

They also could win 6.

But, they could make it all 13.

I don't know. Neither do you. Watch the games. That is all I am saying. Appreciate what they are more than we complain about what they are not.

Yeah - I really said it.

I think Ridley is a great college back. Not historic. Not all time. But I think he is really good.

Didn't mean to flame so much on you.

But I watch a lot of football. Played a long time (I was an OT).

I would have loved to have blocked for a guy like him.

We're ranked 35th in the country in rushing, not 20th... and none of the defenses we've faced were particularly special.

No, we haven't been anywhere near "great", genius.

2/4 of the teams we've beaten are or were ranked. We have played no "warm-up teams." Our schedule thus far has been rather tough.

Actually, I don't really look at statistics all that much.

I don't need to know what Bama's running game is ranked to know they are good.

So, I didn't know that LSU was ranked 35th. I guess they fell some after last week? I think they were ranked in the top 20 after MSU?

I guess I was mostly going off of this:

However, we have played one of the most difficult schedules in the country. Some say it is the most difficult schedule.

I'll try this one more time, because I do think you are a smart guy after reading a lot of your posts the last four years.

How do you define "great"?

You obviously don't agree with my definition.

IS Ridley merely good or average in your book?

Ingram I would say is historic. Ridley is a great college back. How is this wrong?

I think Ridley is an exceptional running back who makes his OL look better than they are. I just don't toss around the word "great"... although our defense HAS been great in the past three games.
