Everyone is Underestimating this LSU team

At least against my team.
Your defense is by far the best AU has seen. Your special teams play is fantastic. Your running game is good. The only issue is the QB play, and every QB who's played AU has looked like Peyton Manning, even Arkansas State's QB. On top of that, we lost two players from our already bad secondary.
I love Newton, I'm glad he's playing this well, but one player doesn't make a team, and he simply can't keep up this production every week. And I expect waaaaaay more LSU fans to make the trip than Arky's pathetic showing.
That said, I still hate you all and hope we beat you by 30.

nice post.
It will not be a shootout...I think it will be similar to the Clemson AU game....hard-hitting and a little lower scoring.

All things (refs) equal, I think that if we play the QB situation the way we should, namely let Lee play every snap, we would win something like 38-23. Cam's going to put up numbers, but he's not going to be a Heisman candidate in this game and he sure as hell won't get 100 yards rushing.

I think it'll be interesting to see how many pass plays Malzahn calls. I can't imagine him wanting to put it in the air much against LSU's secondary. Newton's not as good a passer as some think he is.

Still hate Auburn due to recent history, but you can't discount the possibility of Cam Newton having a career game in JH like Shaun Alexander did in TS so many years ago, carrying AU to the [vomit in mouth] win and positioning himself as the frontrunner for the Heisman.
I know LSU has the talent to beat Auburn on the road, but the fact that our offense hasn't put together a complete game against anyone we've played, and the fact that someone whose name rhymes with "Mepperson" might start gives me pause.

This is what scares me about this game. AU played a team as bad as mcneese in ulm and did what they were supposed to do. 52-3. Why can't LSU do this??????? The AU win over ULM was after a very tough game against South Carolina so I don't want to here the excuse about LSU being flat after a big game.

Arkansas State is probably getting better QB play than us. Actually I think most teams get better QB play than us. I'm really tired of the talking heads as well as Miles acting like Lee and JJ are equal. Like when they see neither distinguished themselves in the game as the number 1. Really? Look at the last two games and tell me that. Or they say Lee never got into a rhythm. Or never looked comfortable. No shite, he gets taken out every other series or better yet every other play. If Lee gets the snaps against that secondary we have a chance. If not, JJ will come in and your D will look like the 86 Bears.

I almost shat myself when the announcers said this during the McNeese game. Something like "the dual qb situation is a necessity because neither qb has stepped up and taken the reigns". WTF?
