The consensus is that Roof can get his guys to stop the run when the team really focuses on it (i.e. 2009 Alabama & 2010 South Carolina).
It comes at a price though; draws, screens, slants and other short passes are open on every. single. down.
If you wanna break it down further, we do better against power backs who like to run between the tackles than speedy outside-running scatbacks.

You cant completely shut down Newton, but he can be limited. Just have to shut down his lanes...
If we hold him to the numbers he put againt Miss St and Clemson, I like LSU to win if Lee gets the majority of the snaps.

PJ, how bad you beat a bad team has nothing to do with who's gonna win this game. I would much rather beat Mcneese 10-7 then beat Auburn 10-7 than beat Mcneese 100-0 and lost to Auburn 3-0.
