Look whether Miles deserves to be shown the door or not is irrelevant, you have to look at what is reality!
So here is Miles buyout clause;
"That buyout would be $15 million if Miles is terminated prior to Dec. 31, 2015. It would then drop to $12.9 million for the contract's fourth and fifth years, to $8.6 million for the sixth year and $4.3 million for the seventh."
There is no way in hell LSU is going to buy Miles out for $15mil this year and then have to go hire away a top notch coach to have to pay them at least $4mil it is just not going to happen unless absolute catastrophe happens and we get blown out 50-0 in the next 2 games plus the bowl game. Where Alleva literally has no choice because Miles has lost the entire team. It ain't going to happen so quit pissing and moaning. And LSU isn't going to pay Miles $13mil at the end of next year or the following year. So get used to Miles through MINIMUM 2017!!!! Use your brains, doesn't matter if he warrants be let go, it is a business decision and the cost of firing Miles in the next 3 years is just too steep a price for LSU to pay whether we like it or not!

I want that kind of contract. I still can't believe how these coaches get these contracts that protect them from everything. These agents are really good.

If he loses the next 3 games and the money begins to dip, regardless of what's left on his contract his seat will become rather warm.. It's the supporters with the big bucks that have the power.

At this point, do you idiots seriously think the Rant doesn't collectively know the buy out clause in Miles' contract? It's been posted like 6881548 times since last night.

1. It would be $15million well spent
2. Buyouts can be negotiated down
3. LSU would lose alot more than $15million if Miles stays and the fans boycott.
4. So Alleva just needs to pick up the phone and

I'm sure that $15 million will be peanuts compared to the money LSU stands to lose with Les at the helm. You have to spend money to make money. And, in this case, I hope we spend whatever it takes to bring in a coach that is with the times.

You'd be very surprised how fast things can happen if things keep going like this. Money appears out of nowhere to make changes when it affects the bottom line. Use your brain.

If it starts to impact revenue TAF would address the issue regardless of cost.

Wouldn't TAF be the 1 paying most of that?
If the big donors and boosters in TAF want Miles gone, then he will be gone.

Like I said in previous posts including this one, things would have to get to the point of a Muschamp's last year at UF or Chizik's last year at Auburn, basically he would have to loose the entire locker room otherwise it ain't happening. It would literally have to get that bad for LSU to pony up a minimum of $13mil over the next 3 years. And with the talent we have on this roster with our recruiting classes we pull in year in/year out. We will be able to win 8,9 or 10 games a year that is good enough to keep Miles from being bought out. Will we win another SEC or National title under Miles? I don't think so but sadly enough he will do enough not to be bought out!!!
Watch and see!!!!
