When we lose.....see 2 nights ago for reference. Our players need to absorb a lot of the blame

Calapari has a roster with 8 future NBA stars yet OT at hone to Ole poo and 2OTs vs aTm today. But everyone thinks he's a mastermind. He's marginal. Swap his talent with any other sec team and you have a sub .500 conference record at uk

I wouldn't argue that Calipari is marginal. He actually has a nice loose style but that really only works with extremely talented players for a year or two. He wore out his welcome in NJ when the players had long term exposure to him.

That still doesn't excuse CJJ who seems to fall asleep and spectate during games.

I certainly never viewed cal as a mastermind.

Why can't we blame all involved?

No way they Make the tourney if they continue to play down to their competition

You know it's not just Jones that receives this kind of treatment. Miles and Mainieri get blasted every time they lose a game as well. Hell, Miles catches hell from some fans even after the football team wins games.

There is enough blame to go around. I believe if kids want to get better they can if they put in the work. So yeah, they can look in the mirror too.

But I have no issue with CJJ taking a little heat. He needs to look in the mirror too IMHO.

the difference in the two teams IMO is Mental Toughness. Who is responsible to incorporate that???
Also EFFORT, I can almost guarantee you the lack of effort you see on defense from LSU doing portions of the game would not be tolerated by Cal.

I sense a general lack of accountability. I know CJJ doesn't have the skins on the wall to demand the accountability Cal does from his prima donna's but he's got some big boys coming in, he needs to learn.

TigerUgly-Coach Dale Brown didn't have the skins on the wall as Joe B. Hall of Kentucky but one thing you can't deny about Coach Brown teams, that is the Effort and Hustle those guys played with. CJJ SHOULD demand accountability, that's how you build a great program.

Fans in all sports are just really impatient in general. When you have a 6'4" power froward getting serious minutes, you should know the rebuilding job isn't over

I haven't caught many games, but I'm assuming you mean bridge water?

Is he strictly in the 4? He seems like a 3/4 hybrid physically as his boy and frame is big.

Kentucky has won it's SEC games by a total of 6 points thus far. They played two of the worst teams in the conference and struggled. It happens, especially on the road. People need to chill the frick out.

tigerbait-how long should fans wait for a team to show EFFORT. When you are rebuilding as you say, the FIRST order of business should be the mindset, then you go get the physical athletes to complete your rebuilding process. And once you add the MINDSET to the physical attributes then you have a dominant program.

Calipari is NOT a great x and o coach, but what he does is have his collection of talented players buy in to the mindset of TOTAL EFFORT EVERY POSSESSION. That is what LSU lacks.
